Review: Magnetic Nail Polish #60 from Born Pretty Store

I cant believe this post has been in my drafts for 3 years! HAHA. Seriously? Im not even sure if Magnetic Nail Polishes are still in today. Oh well, better late than never :D

Wayback 2014, magnetic nail polishes came to be. Im glad I was able to take part of this trend, as Born Pretty Store sent me this pretty nail polish to try out. I cant decide which color to choose as I love everything from the collection, so I settled for something dark in shade as I think the design would show up more in darker shades.

Oh well, excuse my nails as my application isnt really that great. And to be honest, I only managed to apply it on my left hand because you know how it is when you are used to using the right hand, the left hand pretty much is not working lol.

And since this is something Ive drafted years ago, I no longer have photos of the tool I used, but you can find more info about the product and the steps at Born Pretty Store. Enjoy the photos!

What do you think of this trend? I know its been 3 years but were you able to try this one out too?

NOTD: French Pink

Ive always had a soft spot for French Tips because of its simplicity. And so I decided to recreate the traditional one, and thus the French Pink nails!

Too girly? Or sparkly? Too much pink, I know. But its really a cute color combination. I used a glitter nail polish as the base and a hot pink nail polish for the tips.

Here are the things that I used: BK Nail Polish in Hot Pink which I got from Born Pretty Store and an OMG (Crystal Sand) Nail Polish in Quartz which I got from the local mall here.

This bottle of nail polish is pretty cheap and is of good quality too. The name of the shade is "quartz" which is a light pink shade with glitters.

If you are wondering why it is called Crystal Sand nail polish, I think it has something to do with the texture cos after application I felt that the nail polish has a rough texture similar to that of a sand paper. But no worries cos once you apply a top coat, the surface will be smooth ;)

This hot pink nail polish is actually an old bottle that I got from Born Pretty Store. I have been using this for quite some time and I think its been a year since I had this and the quality is quite impressive cos it hasn't fried up until now.

Unfortunately, the writings on the back is in Chinese or Korean so I cant really understand what it says, or what the actual name of this shade is.

Here are closer shots of the final result of my Hot Pink French Tip nails. I am really loving this style so I guess I'll be doing more of this combination. Its very fun and easy to do too.

I hope you like today's nail art!~ Have a nice day.

NOTD: Half the World is Sparkling

And because french tip nails are hard for me (lol), I just had to improvise. And I came up with the ever common nail art style of 50-50, half of your nails have this and the other half has that. But instead of the usual colors, I decided to try something that I thought Id never be caught wearing.

First, I used clear nail polish on my nails to serve as the base polish. I also did this because I know how much trouble glitters can be when it comes to removing them, so I thought that perhaps with a nail polish underneath it would be easier because I can just peel it or something (it worked by the way, I just had to peel the clear nail polish when I took this off).

With my shaky hands, I draw a diagonal line from the top right going to the bottom on the other side. I used black nail polish for that since black is the universal line color (according to me haha). And then using a glitter nail polish, I filled the bottom half of my nails. Working with glitters is sometimes a chore because most of glitter polishes are sticky or something, or getting those chunk of foil glitters can be hard too because mostly they clump to each other.

For this particular nail design, I only used two nail polishes. Well, make it three because I also used clear nail polish =)

I think I still have to work on my lines because they are a bit wobbly and not straight.. but the glitters kind of made up for it ^_^ I have never liked using clear nail polish alone on my nails because I feel like my nails are naked, but sometimes it looks pretty nice to me, not to mention classy.

Its just a very simple nail art design, which I have come to love as well. I might do another variation of this next time.

Review: 24 Card Case Credit Card Organizer from Born Pretty Store

I don't really have that much cards, but since I constantly forget where I placed some of them (because they are literally everywhere in my room), I decided to purchase a card organizer. I saw one from Born Pretty Store and the wide assortment of colors sold me so I instantly purchased one.

I chose the red color because I want to spot it immediately from my pile of stuffs. Red stuffs are easily spotted most of the time.

I mentioned that Born Pretty had them in lots of colors, and here are the rest of the choices. The colors are soft like candy. Oh, the mint one is also pretty!

Price: $2.99
PRODUCT DETAILS
    Description: Leatherette Card Case
    Condition: New
    Size: 11 cm x 7 cm (Approximate)

    More details:
       - Colorful card case
       - Fashionable design
       - The surface looks like leather but it is leatherette.
       - Enables you to put your credit card, band card together.
       - Save 24 cards.
       - Easy to carry your cards with you.
       - Made from durable PVC & PU.

    Package includes:
       - Card Case x 1

And here's my very own pink credit card organizer. There are actually 24 slots, but I have only filled a few of them. I am just so happy to finally have all my IDs and cards in one place because it definitely made carrying and looking for something easier. And also I dont have to worry about losing them because I know I wont lose it if I just keep it here.

One thing I dislike a little about this product is that I find it hard to open and close the lock. I dont know why, maybe perhaps because its still new that's why opening it is a little hard, but still its only a petty disadvantage which will soon wear out.

The organizer pockets are made of semi hard plastic, the ones being used as sleeves for ATM cards. Its a little longer than my cards, otherwise it fits perfectly.

Since my cards are valuable to me, I decided to place papers and other important sheets here as well. I placed my voting paper stub on the middle part so its easier to locate.

Here's a sample as to how the card will look like once its placed inside. Haha. I painted on my information. I hope nothing important else is seen *_O

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Once I ran out of sleeve I will again purchase another one. I hope they will also sell one with more sleeves because it will be easier to organize if they are all in one wallet.

And if you guys want to order this one, you can always visit Born Pretty Store to purchase this cute and fashionable card organizer. Its only $2.99, Free Shipping already. Plus, if you use the coupon code JELW21 you'll get an additional 10% OFF. How cool is that? Affordable yet quality and fashionable items all in one shop :)

Flowers and Laces Nail Art Decals from Born Pretty Store

I am now finding it hard to give some time to do my nails, and so I have resorted to nail stickers because they are so fast and easy to use. In just a few minutes, my nails are definitely looking better. I bought one pack from Born Pretty Store early this year and I still have a lot left.

The product name says 5 styles but there is more than just 5 strips of lace here. I think what it meant to say is like 5 categories, because all in all I have 15 strips. The styles are mostly floral and laces, and my ultimate choice because I have this thing for flowers and laces on nails.

The instruction is just super easy. All you have to do is just to peel the sticker and stick them on your nails. Easy peasy! Haha.

Here are more shots of the design that I got. You can see that they are in groups of three, giving me 15 strips of stickers. Yay~ I am going to have so much fun with these.

These happens to be my favorite of all, especially the lace style in the middle. I think I have posted an NOTD featuring that particular design on my blog already.

For those of you who are still unsure on how to use these stickers, here's a bit of information on how to. I got it from the product site :)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Trim, clean and polish the fingernails. Apply your favorite nail polish on your nails and wait for it to dry.
2. Remove the sticker of your chosen design from the film, cut out the pattern and plunge it into the water for 10-20 seconds.
3. Moisten the fingernails and stick the pattern in position.
4. Remove excess water on nails and blow dry.
5. Cap with clear nail polish and blow dry.

And there you have it. Super duper easy to use and follow. In no time at all you will have fabulous and pretty nails with less hassle :) If you want to try out these Nail Art Decals, you can check them out at Born Pretty Store.  The whole pack cost me only $2.99, and its FREE SHIPPING too. And dont forget to use the code JELW21 so that you can avail the additional 10% OFF your total purchases :)
