October Haul

Walked past a shopping mall earlier today and decided to go inside and take a peek at whats on sale as it was also raining. The beauty section had a sale and I was overwhelmed with the prices but only end up with 2 things. Haha oh well, this is maturity. You should only buy the things that you really need :)

I realized I need new set of razors for hygiene purposes and when I saw this set of 3 razors for just Php 39.00 I instantly grabbed them. Its pink too!

Ive been so into the drunk blush trend lately and wanted to try a new blush on makeup. Although my trust old Jordana Blush is perfectly fine but the blush brush that I currently have seems to have triggered the acne on my cheeks so now I wanted to try cream type or something that doesn't require a brush.

Saw this product from Ever Bilena on Facebook and decided to try it as its cream type. It looks like a face moisturizer but when you apply it, it will stain your skin pink. Hopefully its gonna be easy to apply.

Ever Bilena was on sale but sadly this item wasnt on sale so I bought it for the full price of Php 95.00. Not too bad but a discount would have been nice haha.

Im excited to try the blush on! Hopefully it goes well as this would really save me some time whenever I try to get ready for work. Review soon!

REVIEW: iWhite Korea Facial Wash Whitening Vita

Hello~ Today I will be doing a short review of this facial wash Ive seen countless times at many malls. Im already familiar with the brand because Ive already tried another product from them, the iWhite Korea Whitening Pack Peel Off Mask (read my review HERE).

I bought this product from a convenience shop (shout-out to 711) because I had an appointment and I need to freshen up. Luckily 711 carries facial wash and this was the only thing I saw so I grabbed it. The brand repackaged their product because their items now come in cute sachets. They are all so cute I am really tempted to buy one of each :3

The packaging itself is very simple and cute tbh, it can really catch your eye and attract you just by looking at it. It is a facial wash in a trial pack, but I believe this product has a bigger tube type container as well. It claims to whiten, revitalize and moisturize your face after using it. It will also whiten and improve your skin condition with continuous use. Sounds good and promising right?

Even the back looks cute! It contains the usual product information, instructions on how to use as well as ingredients and a bit about the manufacturer/importer. Pretty straightforward like most product package.

Oh! It says it can also help prevent pimples. Yay for me as I'm acne prone so anything that will help against acne is a yes for me.

It also claims to help remove excess oil and any impurities on the skin, so as a result you will get whiter and better skin that's radiantly glowing! It contains vitamin c and e which helps in cell repair and is also good for wrinkles.

As for the product itself, I had fun using it. It's a very small pack but you can get maybe 2 or 3 usages on this, depends on how much you actually use though. As for the whitening claim, that's something that I cant yet comment as I think you need to be using this for a while to actually see any difference on the skin color. But I would like to say face looks brighter right after rinsing. Also my skin felt firmer after washing which is a good thing as well.

I think I am going to buy the bigger tube to see if its really going to whiten my face or maybe even out my skin tone just a bit. I am still on the quest for a good pocket size face wash that I can carry all the time so that I can wash my face easily. The Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash was a let down to be honest, and now Im currently trying Clean & Clear's facial wash. Hopefully that will turn out good.

Overall this facial wash is really good, even though I have only used it twice or thrice. Ill finish the Clean & Clear one first and review it afterwards and then go back to this wash.

REVIEW: Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash

So I dropped by Watson's earlier looking for things for my hair when I finally chanced upon this product. I've read a few reviews about this facial wash and thought maybe Id give it a try.

I chose this variant as it claims to help prevent pimples, which is a plus for me. I've always been going for facial washes that claims to help prevent pimples and the likes because of my acne prone skin.

I got this for Php 89 pesos and it contains 50mL of products inside. Not too bad considering the price and the content of the item itself. I've been eyeing Himalaya products for a while now but since I still have a lot of things as well I didn't bother with buying anything till now. Also, I only saw this product at Watson's just now so maybe its really popular as it seems out of stock most of the time.

On the back of the packaging, the ingredients are written down. I'm not too bothered with ingredients as I dont think I am sensitive to anything. For as long as it doesn't give me any break outs then I'm good.

Packaging of the product comes in the usual tube type. Still hygienic if you ask me. Plus this is the small travel size bottle so its easy to carry around specially during trips.

The product itself is gooey and is green in color. It isn't watery so I dont have to worry about it dripping from the palm of my hands. Application is also easy.

REVIEW:

The product smells good and lathers easily as well. I was happy during day 1 of using this as I felt so clean. But then at night I saw some breakouts already. They weren't full blown pimples or something but whitehead looking with puss inside and I'm sure its because of this as I haven't used anything new except for this.

So on day 2 I didn't use this and went back to my usual facial cleanser and after treating the breakouts everything seems good, so on day 3 I still used my old trusty face cleansers. And because I really had high hopes for this product I went on to use this again on day 4 and... another breakout!! :((

I really dont think this will be useful and its such a shame that I have to let this go but I also cant risk the breakouts if I continue to use this.

VERDICT:

Repurchase? No. But then again this is just based on my use. We all have different skin types and this may work for others, but for me, nah. Im still sad that I have to throw this away.

Naturals by Watson's: Argan Oil Hair Care Products

NOTE: This isnt a full review, but more of a first impression. Will update this post after a few weeks to see if there are any notable changes and to also give a final conclusion about the product.

Finally completed my hair care set today. I havent been coloring my hair for months now and I'm so proud of being able to control myself haha. Now I'm all about hair care and making sure that it is fixed before its too late. Ive been hearing a lot of good things about Argan Oil for tha hair and decided to finally buy a set of hair care products to see if it will be better.

I found these product from my local Watson's. From the line Naturals by Watson's, I bought the Argan Oil variant for the Shampoo, Hair Mask and Conditioner. All three products were on sale so I did save a few

L-R: Argan Oil Shampoo Php 159, Argan Oil Hair Mask Php 149, Argan Oil Conditioner Php 149

This is the product that I bought first, so I have been using it for a week or two maybe. It comes in a decent size of 490 ml which is okay for its price point. It really smells good and after effect is also good for me so far. I have been suffering with frizzy hair after arriving at work due to the wind on my travel time but lately I find my hair easier to manage even with the wind blowing. It makes my hair softer and easier to comb as well.

I was hesitant to buy this product because its just a hair mask and I already have a conditioner but decided to just buy it altogether because sale haha. This is set to be used a few times per week only, not daily so maybe its a treatment of some sort. This bottle just contains 200 ml, which is too little for me but if it inst used daily then I guess it should be fine. Smell is also good, and just like the shampoo my hair felt rough after washing with water. When my hair dried properly, my hair felt a bit smooth and soft to touch which is a good thing. Hopefully it will really treat my hair and fix the damage coloring for years has done.

I only started using this shampoo today and the smell is good. It comes in a big sized pump bottle, having 490 ml of product which isn't bad considering the cost. It bubbles easily too, but after washing away I feel like my hair is coarse to touch. I've seen similar after effects to other shampoo brands so it doesn't really bother me.

This is a pic of my hair today, which I will put for reference to see how my hair is before using the item. Its not as bad as before as I already cut my hair but it still feels dry and damaged to me. I've been touching my hair and it does feel soft at times but you can still feel the coarse texture and I'm really hoping these products will do wonders for me.

August Haul: Hair Protect Products

I have been saving for months now and I try as much as I can to avoid buying anything not really important (i.e. korean products haha) but this time, I felt like I needed to do this because I haven't been taking care of my hair lately.

I used to dye my hair every month, and the ends are really gross. I have been trimming it lately and I dont reckon I've dyed it this year (I am so proud of myself!). I did get a few hair cuts this year and the length is nowhere near as to how it was before. I did get a rebond from a Korean Salon a month ago and thats it so far. So today I did some shopping and bought a few stuff that I am interested to use to see if it will sort of help fix my hair, or at least make it look healthy again.

L-R: Vitress Hair Polish Sun Protect, Pantene PRO-V Summer Rescue Shampoo, Pantene PRO-V Summer Rescue 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner

I have used Vitress before but its the other hair product, the oily one. I think this one is the cream type. There were lots of variant for this item but I chose the sun protect one mainly because I go to work daily at noon and that's when the sun is shining the most so I am hoping this will act as a sunblock, only this time its for my hair.

When the 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner came out, there was a lot of hype about it being very good. I did try it before but never really got the chance to use it for a long time. This time, its the Summer Rescue variant as well and because I'm looking for sun protection this time, this will really be a good match with the shampoo I picked up as well.

I've tried Pantene shampoo before, but I have a habit of changing from one brand to another (damn adverts on TV). Im not so sure if this is a new product but the Summer Rescue variant caught my attention so I picked it up. Maybe this is for those sun damaged hair due to the sun and the beach? I am excited to test this one out and see if it will make any difference. Im currently using Dove (shampoo) and I dont think its working as my hair feels dry and coarse so I am really hoping for the best.

To be honest, I'm not really expecting my hair to go back to how shiny and healthy it was from way back high-school (hello long black hair lol) but at least I would love to lose the split ends as well as make my hair look healthy again. My hair tends to be soooo dry so I am hoping to revive it before I lose my hair haha. Here's to hoping then. Product reviews soon!

DAY 1 - A Make Up Product You Use Daily (10 Day Blogpost Challenge)

DAY 1 - A Make Up Product You Use Daily
(10 Day Blogpost Challenge)

Now this is something thats very easy for me. I can live even without an eyeliner, but not without my lip products. Im currently into lip tints right now so this is something that I use more than 10 times daily :D

I cant really choose a favorite, but I've slowly disposed some of my lip products already (maturity at its best, because you dont really need a lot, right? right). Now these are all I have left, an I use them alternately, depending on my mood.

Night Time Routine To Clear Acne Scars

Hi guys! Today I am going to be sharing a routine which I would truly recommend to everyone suffering from acne. I am someone who suffers from acne since my teenage years and I am still suffering till this time. But luckily I managed to stumble upon korean beauty products, and trust me- IT WORKS! But before we start, lets try to identify what acne really is and what causes it.

Acne is a disorder resulting from the action of hormones and other substances on the skin’s oil glands (sebaceous glands) and hair follicles. These factors lead to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or zits. Acne lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Although acne is usually not a serious health threat, it can be a source of significant emotional distress. Severe acne can lead to permanent scarring.
So without further adieu let me introduce you to a night time routine to clear acne scars. First, I will show you a comparison of my skin. The before photo was taken April/May 2016, when I finally caved in and sent my mom a message saying I cant take it anymore as it is too much to handle for me. That's when I decided to try the korean skin care routine and hoped for the best. And I wasnt disappointed! A look at the after photo (taken just today!) would say its definitely heaps better compared to last year.

And that isnt even the worst that Ive experienced! But ever since Ive been religiously doing my korean skin care routine, a lot of things has changed already. So today I will be sharing a routine that will help in clearing out acne and acne scars as well.

Introducing, WISHTREND's best seller - the most effective night care routine targeted for acne scars.

Content: (Full Sizes)

I know these might seem like a lot of product to apply all at once, but trust me its all gonna be worth it at the end. So how is this routine done? Here it goes.

FIRST STEP (KLAIRS Supple Preparation Facial Toner to remove impurities & prevent whiteheads)
KLAIR’S toner hydrates and calms sensitive skin post-cleansing and tidies the skin texture to smoothen while maintaining the optimal pH balance to help the absorption of other products as well.

  1. After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount to clean skin and use the heat of your palms to help the complete absorption. For dry areas, multiple applications are recommended.
  2. If using a cotton pad, soak the pad completely.
SECOND STEP (Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advance Serum to fade Acne Scars)
With an upgraded formula with more of the effects but less the ingredients, the Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum has been transformed to have even greater hydration and absorption without the stickiness. It conditions and restores balance to replenish and retain moisture in the skin with the optimal 21.5% of pure vitamin C.

  1. After cleansing, apply an adequate amount to the face, dividing up the portions and applying each small portion to different areas. Lightly tap the area to help absorption.
  2. Gently massage the whole face using your palms about 2-3 times to ensure full absorption.
THIRD STEP (SkinMiso Spot Repairing Serum to directly target acne scars)

SKINMISO’s Spot Repairing Serum is perfect for people who have trouble acne spots on their skin. These include red spots, acne, fresh or old acne scars, dark spots, etc. This acne spot treatment soothes and calms irritated spots on your skin. This spot treatment serum also creates a protective layer on the skin to protect and ceil your trouble acne spot away from the outer environment, providing better treatment.

  1. Apply a moderate amount of acne spot treatment serum to troubled spots on the skin.
FOURTH STEP (I'M FROM Vitamin Tree Water Gel to help rejuvenate skin with hydration)

The premium whitening water gel is optimal for oily skin where a cream type product could feel a bit heavy. The gel is rapidly absorbed by the skin, and the cooling sensation helps to quickly calm redness. In addition, as certified by the FDA for its whitening function, it transforms the skin to appear brighter and more clear for a radiant look.

  1. After cleansing, apply an adequate amount evenly to the face.
FIFTH STEP (Lei Lani Poruji Cream to control & prevent excessive sebum)
The Poruji Cream is an intensive care cream designed to soothe, condition, and repair oily, problematic skin to kick all your skin concerns to the curb.

  1. After using your emulsion, dab a small amount of the Poruji Cream using a finger or a cotton swab and evenly spread over the problematic areas overnight for a transformation in the morning.
SIXTH STEP (COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch to prevent secondary infections while healing)

Acne Pimple Master Patch is a hydrocolloid patch that prevents secondary infections while healing. The light and thin skin protectant patch allows intensive care for the smallest problematic areas while protecting the skin from external pollutants. It protects distressed areas so makeup application is possible while managing intensive care for the problematic area. A must have for anyone and everyone.

  1. Wash and completely dry the target area.
  2. Remove the cover film and apply to the target area. (Do not use any lotion or other products before use.)
  3. As the patch absorbs pus, it turns white. Replace the white patch with a new one. (1 patch per day is recommended)

And there you have it! An acne scar nightly routine that will definitely help you out for with your acne and acne scar troubles. If you want to see it in action, please check out this youtube video as well.
