Queen of Hearts {NOTD}

Hi guys! Today I want to show to you something that I find really cute.. My nails haha :P Its been a while since I last had glitter nail polishes on my nails. And since I had just bought a bottle of cute glitter polish last time, I decided to paint my nails with it :) Check out my current NOTD in the following pic :)

I am in love with the hearts and the glitters <3

To achieve this cute and sparkly nails, I first painted my nails black. I always have this notion that black will look good on almost anything. It can serve as a backdrop, so if you plan to do something on your nails like 3D nail art, stamping or simple glitters and stuffs, I would highly suggest using black.

The nail polish I am using today is Wet n Wild's Ebony Hates Chris. I am a lover of black but to be honest, this is my only black nail polish :P I would definitely buy another bottle once Im out of this one because its currently my fave [check out my detailed post on this nail polish here]

And for the fun part~ Here's the glitter nail polish that I used. Its pinkish and in the bottle you can actually see the glitters. Ahh so cute ^_^ What caught my attention on this was the hearts floating around. And the pink of course attracted me more hehe. In reality it isn't really pink but colorless, and I am guessing the pink comes from the reflection of the glitters which could be pink foils? Lol haha too much imagination.

And after a coat of the glitters, here are my nails :) It was hard getting the hearts for my nails, especially if you are fishing for it in a sea of glitters. But still I managed, and here it is now.

I am loving this look for my nails as of the moment. I especially love it when it glitters in the sun haha. And mind you, this is very simple and easy to do. Glitters are really fun on the nails, but sadly they are saying that they can also be a pest during nail polish removal. Well, I am going to see that tonight as I will be doing another nail art design on my nails in honor of my birthday on Friday :)

3D Nail Stickers + NOTD.. on my Feet :P

As you have seen from my previous haul, I bought a pack of 3D nail stickers. The designs are floral themed, and I personally choose it because it has the most number of designs that are matching. I am supposed to put it on my finger nails, but since I also bought another nail polish which I so much wanted to try ASAP, I decided to just use the stickers on my toe nails. Its a good idea for me because it has been a while since I last decorated my toe nails. Stickers are one of the easiest ways to spice up your plain and boring nails. Its so easy to do and can be done in minutes.

And now on to the stickers that I bought. I got them for a very cheap price, although I reckon they could have cost much cheaper if I bought in bulk. But nah, I just want to test out these stickers first before buying the whole thing.

I would like to apologize because I forgot to take a photo of the sticker before using. The only ones I have were after using them, thus you can only see a few stickers left. But the designs are all there because I made sure that I get two or more stickers of the same design :)

These stickers are obviously of the cheapest kinds, almost like the ones you stick on to notebooks and papers, but the glue used to make this stickers stick are transparent.

And now to show you my toe nails~ Bwahaha please don't mind my feet. I know they are not the best sight to see at night. Lol. Just focus on the design :D

Some of the stickers were too big for my nails so I had to cut down some details like the leaves and leave only the flowers (pinky toe nails). I wonder how come my thumb toe nail is big but the rest are small? Hmmm.

Happy Feet ^_^

Oh, before I forgot I am using my Wet n Wild Nail Polish in Ebony Hates Chris. I really love the black shade and I think black nail polish goes well with almost any color and design, specially with stickers :)

Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp from Born Pretty Store

Hi guys! I am back again with another Nail Art stuff that I would want to share to you. If you have read my Born Pretty Haul last November 21st, you must have seen the stamping kit that I bought. The Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp is a beginner's kit which contains all the necessary things needed for us nail lovers to do simple and cute nail art on our nails via stamping. Here's a photo of what the kit looks like.

Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp, $8.77 || Buy HERE

The stamping kit contains a stamp and a scraper (both in pink), 2 stamping plates (Hello Kitty and Floral) and three bottles of nail polishes (red, green and blue.)

If you have absolutely no idea as to how this thing works, you can always read the instruction at the back. I must say that I am quite impressed with the instructions on this product, because unlike most China products, the written English is almost perfect and is very much understandable.

But if in case its still not clear, I'll put the instructions in my own words as descriptively as possible :)

    Instructions on Nail Stamping
    1. Prepare the necessary things you will be needing (i.e. stamp, scraper, nail polish, nail polish remover and the stamping plate).
    2. Check if your base nail polish has already dried because you wouldn't want to mess up your nails.
    3. Choose the design that you want from the plate. Apply a small amount of nail polish on the design, making sure that the whole area of the design is covered.
    4. Grab the scraper and scrape of excess nail polishes.
    5. Using the stamp, quickly stamp it on the plate so as to make the design transfer on the rubber stamp.
    6. After checking that the design has transferred to the stamp, you are now ready to stamp it on your nails. When it has dried up already, apply a top coat.
The stamp and scraper that came with the kit comes in a pretty pink color which I absolutely love. The scraper has a plastic finish, and so I doubt if it will last long. I haven't used this one yet as I already have a stamp and scraper which I bought separately but still from Born Pretty Store (read related post here). That scraper has a metal edge and I like using it, better than plastic of course :)

    Plastic scraper~

The kit also contained two stamping plates which I find as a disappointment only because there were a lot of scratches on the plate. If you check out the photos below, you can see how ugly it is, almost like it has been used already. I don't know who or what to blame for it, and it could be a random defect only. But still its not a big deal because the plate can still function and the scratches will still happen anytime soon. Lol.

Adorable Hello Kitty at the center ^_^

    Cute floral designs :)

Another minor disappointment were the nail polishes that came with the kit. They were quite sticky and I cant seem to get a hold of it. I had to shake it like a mad girl just to make the consistency better. Good thing it came back to a good state and I was able to use it, but not for stamping thought. I used it to create dots :P But of course everything deserves second chances so I will give these nail polishes another try. Who knows it might work the next time?

Overall, I am very happy with this product. The rants I mentioned above are not really that bad because they can be remedied and shouldn't be taken as a loss. This stamping kit has made my life easier especially on lazy days when I am running out of nail art ideas, this has saved me.

The prize of course is another thing. Its actually very very cheap, and you also get free shipping. That's what I love the most about Born Pretty Store <3

So if you guys want to try nail art stamping, I definitely recommend this stamping kit to you. Its very much affordable because it retails for only $8.77. Plus you can get an additional 10% OFF your purchases if you enter the coupon code JELL73.

    November Purchases

Time flies by so fast, and its almost December. In a few days its going to be my birthday. Hoho I'm going to be a year older again. Boo! Anyways, here are a few of my recent purchases for the month of November. There are only a few items as I am really really saving my money for a brand new phone which I hope to purchase soon. Good thing my mother paid for some of the items, but she says it will be her birthday gift to me already. Tsss. Hate it lols.

As you can see on the photo, I got myself a new pair of skinny jeans. I love the design on this jeans because its got some rips on them, which I like to call "cool". Another thing that I love about this skinny jeans is that its actually super long, longer than me. I never thought I'd find a pants that would be longer than me, usually they are shorter or just long enough to barely cover my feet and I hate it so. Good thing I finally found one. I also bought a pair of shorts, I think this style is the trend of today. Its also got some rips on both sides, and I find it cool too :)

And then I also got something from Etude House, a facial cleanser called Happy Teatime Lemon Tea Cleansing Foam. I have been on the lookout for this, and though I originally wanted the Green Tea variant, they only have this on stock so I just bought it. It retails at $3.37 (Php148.00). I plan to go back to Etude House and buy something else :D

I also got me a pack of baby wipes. I bought them because I wanted to wipe the dirt off my feet, but I find the packaging too cute :3 Of course who would say Hello Kitty is not adorable? Its got a pretty pink packaging, me likey <3

And of course one of my necessities, nail stuffs. Harhar. I bought a bottle of sparkling nail polish which got lots of glitters on it. Then I also got a bottle of clear nail polish, and a pack of nail stickers. These are super duper cheap so I really didn't mind splurging. Mind you, these 3 items cost me less than a dollar :P

There you go. I might not go into spending my own personal money in the next few weeks to come because I am getting a new phone. I am still undecided though as to what to buy, but I want an android phone. I am now off to sleep, good morning guys :)

3D Pink Bownknot Stickers from Born Pretty Store

Remember my Nail Stuffs Haul from Born Pretty Store? I have already used some of the products and today I am going to show to you one of my favorite items from my haul, the Pink Bow-knot Shape 3D Stickers.

10 pcs Pink Bowknot Shape 3D Stickers, $1.42 || Buy HERE

    Product Description
    10 pcs in one package
    Pink Bowknot
    Double-layer petals
Decorate your home, mobile phone, etc…
Stick anywhere you might use a sticker!
    Soft plush material
    Easy to use

And here's how it looked like when I opened my package. The stickers were safely packed in a plastic that was tightly sealed.

And when I lay them open on the table.. You just don't know how happy I was seeing these cute little pink bows that I have only seen online! But now I have them too. Me likey :3

These are made of plastic and are quite sturdy in my opinion. It has a size of more or less 1 inch, and is just right for the nails. My only complaint about the item is that the white lines on the bow's center are not centered in some of the items. Its only a minor problem though, and it being made in China (cheaper duhh), its just worth the amount I paid. Though I reckon these problems with the designs are random.

    Kawaii bows ^^

And being the excited girl that I was, I immediately tried it on my nails to see how it looks like. Here's a supposed to be NOTD that was left unfinished because my little sister kept bugging me to give her some of the bows because she likes them too. But the problem is, the bows are too big for her nails. So I had no choice but to stop what I was doing before she steals my bows *evil laugh*

    Pink and Purple <3

I think it looks so cute. Cute cute cute cute :D Haha I am now searching the net for design inspirations for my nails and I can't wait to try the bows again. It just looks so perfect on my nails. And, seeing that these stuffs are so nice, I immediately placed another order for more of these, but in white. I also ordered rabbit shaped ones and I'm going to show them to you when they arrive, prolly by December. Cant wait.

Till then, happy thanksgiving everyone :)

Product Review: St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub (Invigorating)

I have been using this product for weeks already so now I think I can do a review on it. I bought this small bottle of St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub for more or less $4 at Watson's. I bought this because I have been hearing good reviews about this facial scrub, and also I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

Im not sure as to how many variants there are, I'm sure there are a lot but in Watson's I only found two. I would have preferred the other one but since it was only available in a bigger bottle, I opted for this one. After all, I am still in the process of finding a good facial scrub that would suit me.

At the back of the packaging you can see the direction on how to use the product as well as the ingredients used in manufacturing.

      My Review:

      >> Packaging <<
I am really glad that there is a small tube for this scrub because I can carry it in my bag easily. Although I would very much appreciate it if all variants have smaller bottles. But then I dislike its opening. Twisting the cap to get the contents for me is a hassle, plus squeezing the tube would sometimes result to getting a huge amount which is more that what I needed. I'm not sure for the bigger sizes if its the same though.

      >> Scent <<
I love how it smells :3 But I dont know if it smells of apricot lol. It isnt too strong, just the right amount so as not to make the product boring.

In this photo you can clearly see that there are brown/orange spots on the product. I think those are the micro scrubs which helps in cleaning the face and eliminating the dirt, dead skin and other impurities. Its kinda rough on the face, but if you gently scrub it wouldn't hurt that much.

      >> Rating <<
      Price:  ♕♕♕♕♕
      Packaging:  ♕♕♕♕
      Quality:  ♕♕♕♕

      Overall Rating: 14/15

I am happy with this product. I have already proven its effectiveness, and now I know why many bloggers love it. Its really effective and is a nice facial scrub. And for the price, it is worth it. The product says it should be used 2 to 3 times a week but since I am really loving it I use it everyday :P If you are looking for a good facial scrub that is effective and affordable then I suggest you try out St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub.
