Love is in the Air

First of all I'd like to greet everyone a HAPPY HEARTS DAY!

As we all know, today is February 14 2011, Valentines Day. For those who don't know what Valentines Day is, here's a quick review on its history.

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day, is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, Saint Valentine, and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.

So in lieu of Heart's Day, I made some cute designs on my nail. Yeah I know polka dots is for New Year but then its red, so I guess its still Valentine-ish right? Haha

Polka Dots~ yay!

I used a red nail polish for the base. For the polka dots, I used black and white nail polishes and alternated the design. It was quite easy to do and I think it ended up pretty well.

 My nails :)

Close up view.

I think this will last for a week or so. As for today, I don't have any plans yet. I'll just go with the flow and see what happens. Surpirses could just be around the corner :)

Me XD

How about you? What are your plans for today?

Pizza Hut: Hot or Not?

Last Friday, a friend and I went to eat at Pizza Hut in SM City Cebu. It was my 2nd or 3rd time there and I only came for the pizza.

So we ordered two personal pizzas, a mud pie sunday, a roasted chicken with spaghetti bolognese and bottomless iced tea. And the taste? Here it goes :)

Pizza
The pizza was okay, but I think I ordered the wrong one haha. Thoose TV ads were not lying when they said the pizza us super cheezy :P but I think I ate too much beef and bacon in my order lol. But overall, I'd say the taste is good and definitely better than the others.

Mud Pie Sunday
I was expecting something more than just a simple and plaausein vanilla ice cream. I thought it would look cool or something because of the name but then I was disappointed. The taste was okay, just like those plain vanilla ice cream from selecta or nestle. But I'd give them a rating of okay because of the presentation :)

Roasted Chicken with Spaghetti Bolognese
This was not my order, but I get to taste it. The chicken was okay, but I think it was not marinated or something as it lacks flavor and taste. The spaghetti was definitely not something I would enjoy. Of course it was bolognese something, but I never thought it would taste that way. I guess I was used tot he typical Filipino style spaghetti. I would definitely not order it again :/

Bottomless Iced Tea
As an iced tea lover, I knew that their iced tea was not something from Nestea. I can easily identify it because of the taste which taste like a herbal drink or something. But since it was served with ice, I still manage to gulp every glass serve. Jeez why did I order bottomless? As a result, I was always at the cr to pee :))

FINAL VERDICT
We spent P600.00 for those food only and I must say its quite expensive, given that I was not satisfied with the food. But then again since it was our choice to eat there, we've got nobody to blame. But nevertheless the experience was fun, but this is definitely a lesson to learn.

P.S.
I was not able to consume the whole pizza, so I brought the other 3 slices (there were 4) to my sister :)

I heated them in the microwave, and they were deli :)

Review - Garnier Pure Self-Heating Sauna Mask

I have bought this product last year but I was only able to do a review today. I was out looking for a facial mas or a mud pack to try out on my skin and I stumbled upon this product on the store - Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Self Heating Sauna Mask. I bought it because it says its a mask :D

The upper half of the sachet

The product comes in a sachet divided into two parts. I was already able to consume the upper half, and the other half is almost gone too.

The product says it deeply purifies the skin for 7 days. Well, I don't know about that but here's my experience. After applying the mask, I suddenly felt my face getting hot. I guess its because of the self heating sauna effect that it has. After a while I washed my face and when I look at the mirror I saw whiteheads coming out and popping. I do not know if this is good or bad, but upon reading blogs of other users, they said that the product caused breakouts on their skin so I guess this is a sign of a breakout too, though I am not certain. But still, I love it when the whiteheads come out because its easier for me to remove them. Also, I can feel that my skin is already clean and refresh, though the effect does not last longer.

Garnier products that I am using

Me with the mask :D

Overall, I am a 50-50. I am undecided about the product because I am quite happy with the result, but still sad about the breakouts. I am not sure yet if I will purchase this again, but I will finish the pack. Maybe I will just look for another facial mask or mad pack to try. I am currently searching for those mud packs so Im gonna blog about it here if I already found one :)

Annoying Orange/ NOT

and then another one came along..

I just cant resist body bags, especially the cute ones. I bought this for a very cheap price, less than $1 or something. AND, it is still THRIFTED :) Yay~

Body bags are <3

Love its round shape :)

I love its small size, perfect for carrying anywhere. I also love the bright orange color (though it isn’t my favorite color), reminds me of summer (something which probably wont be as fun as the previous year because of the climate change, boo!)

The bag is made of idk, but it reminds me of a snake’s skin. But I suppose there are no orange snakes right? Haha

Review - Custom T-Shirt Printing

Earlier this year I got my sample T-shirt from http://www.tshirtprinting.net/. They were giving away sample shirts to review and this was the photo of the sample shirts.

Product Description
This is a silk-screen printed unisex T-shirt with our mascot monkey printed on the front. We have four sizes - S,M,L and XL.

I chose a Medium sized shirt in color white. It was quite big for my size but still I love the T-shirt because of its cute print. I also find the t-shirt quality very good and durable, something which is not so common among t-shirt printing companies. I must say that http://www.tshirtprinting.net/ has indeed chosen a good t shirt brand to use for their t shirt printing.

Here's a photo of the T-shirt that I received.

It looked dirty white because of the camera settings, but in reality its white :)

Cute monkey print, with the website too :D

I have already worn and washed the t shirt and the durability of the print is notable. It does not wear out or tear of easily knowing that it is screen printed only.

Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the product that I got.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
