Wet n Wild Nail Polishes

I have always been into nail polishes and nail art designs, though I don't claim to be good at it. This is because of the unavailability of tools and resources here which makes me say that my works are not that good. But that does not hinder me from continuing what I love to do which is painting my nails :)

Like I said, due to the unavailability of materials, I am just making use of what's here. When it comes to nail polishes, I am not fond of brands. Basically because the good/branded ones are not readily available here in the Philippines, and if they are, I cant afford them because of their high price. So my only resort as to owning a few branded bottles would be through samples and giveaways. That's also one of the reasons why I'm fond of joining giveaways, to be able to have a taste of what those branded and international brands are capable of.

Speaking of giveaways, I just got my prize from Ms. Vee of Dime on a Dime. She just hosted a Wet n Wild Quick Dry Nail Polish Giveaway last July, and luckily I was picked as one of the winners. I was very excited on this certain giveaway because the prizes at stake were just too good for me to let it pass.

And so my prize came a week ago, 6 bottles of Wet n Wild Quick Dry Nail Polishes! Can you believe it? Its actually my first time to own nail polishes from Wet n Wild, so I'm really expecting a lot from it :) And now without further adieu I'm gonna show you what I got.

Yay for bubble wrap, and the sweet note that came with the package :)

Don't forget to check out Ms. Vee's blog :)

Two small boxes each containing three nail polish bottles.

Six bottles of Nail Polishes ^____^

The nail polishes all came with cute and funny names which I'm assuming are taken from or inspired by some US television shows. I'm quite familiar with a few of the names and I find it really cute and uhm, funny? Haha. It's nice to name nail polishes this way because it also adds creativity to it.

Teal of Fortune is somewhat blue in color, but is frosted. By frosted I mean that the shade is not solid in color because it has a glittery effect. I'm not sure how this type of shade is called but here in the Philippines these types of nail polishes are called Frosted :P

I don't know why this one is called Hannah Pinktana, I can't seem to see pink on this bottle. For me its somewhat closer to lilac or purple, but I wouldn't dare call it pink. Still the name is cute, and just like the Teal of Fortune, this one's glittery too.

Gray's Anatomy is a nice name, simple and straight to the point but still unique. Unlike the first two shades, this one's a bit solid in shade but I still consider it as the frosted type primarily because its like silver and silver sparkles lol.

Teal or no Teal is a very popular game show, it was even shown here in the Philippines. This shade is the solid version of Teal of Fortune, the latter being too glittery.

I'm not sure, but I think this one is names after Sex and the City.. or was it Sex in the City? Nah, whichever it is, I don't know why its associated with the color green. Is sage supposed to be related to greenish stuffs? The shade on the bottle looks a bit dull and dark, but when applied to the nails its actually lighter in shade, almost lime, only darker than lime haha. And it does not appear to be super solid in shade at all because I can see some glitters and sparkly effects on it.

The last bottle is called Ebony Hates Chris. I'm not familiar with this one, and so is the shade. For me it looks like black or something. Will have to check it out when I get to use it.

Out of the six bottles, I've only tried the Sage in the City and so far I'm loving it. I'm gonna show swatches/reviews soon after I have tried each bottle. I'm not on day 3 of wearing this nail polish and I haven't seen any chipping parts, and I did not even apply top coat. I hope this one stays long enough, like maybe a week because I still don't feel like removing them yet.

Once again I'd like to thank Ms Vee for this chance of owning such pretty nail polishes. This really made my day when I got them on the post. I hope I get to win more of these sorts ^grin^
