Day 1: A Total Inventory of All the Makeup and Makeup Tools You Own

Okay so before I start this post, let me just warn you that you wont be seeing much. As I dont really use a lot of make up and stuffs mainly because I like to keep my face clean. I'm more of an eyeliner - lipstick kind of girl, so that's prolly my most important make up item. But I still buy and use other stuffs, just not that much :P

Anyways, here are a few of my make up and make up tools. Some might be missing cos I think I lost them when we moved. Or my little sister hid them. Again.

As you can see, there's only a few. I dont use that much tools. And most of my items are lip products, cos its what I am really really fond of.

This is all that I've gathered

LIP PRODUCTS
I think this is something that I'll always be guilty of. Its like everytime I see a lippy that looks pretty, I get this feeling that I just have to have it :((. But then I try to restrain myself from buying a lot because I dont want them to waste, seeing that I also dont use them a lot. Idk, I just want to collect.

Top: Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Lipstick (both are in shades of red but with different names)
Middle (L-R): Elana Minerals Lip Tint, Nyx Round Lipgloss in Apricot and True Red, Sophie Paris Lipstick in Ice Pink, Nichido Matte Lipstick in Love Potion, Maybelline Baby Lips Color in Pink Peony, Maybelline Baby Lips in Oxidizing Berry, Nyx Round Lipstick in Chic, Sophie Paris Lipstick in Cotton Peach
Bottom: Nyx Lip Liner Pencil in Coral, Nyx Long Pencil Lip Liner in Pinky

MAKE UP TOOLS
I am thinking of buying a few products soon, maybe when the weather is good enough for make up not to melt. But for now since its so hot, make up is not an option so I'll just be happy with these tools haha. Also, I have a heated eyelash curler but I cant seem to find it.

Top-Bottom: Something for the eyebrows (idk what its called lol), Real Techniques Brushes

CHEEK PRODUCTS
Aside from the basic eyeliner and lippies, I also love blush on. Though seldom used, from time to time I apply one just to put a little color on my cheeks or for a fresher look.

Top: Pink Powder Blush (forgot the brand), Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral, Nichido Cheek Tint
Bottom: Avon Face Pearls, Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Fresh Coral

EYE PRODUCTS
Ahhh! Another guilty pleasure. This is more of a collection rather than something that I really need or use. I mean, I would really really love to be able to use them but since I am yet to learn how to apply eyeshadow so these might just have to wait.

Top: Ever Bilena Dual Eyeshadow, Carmela Quad Eyeshadow, Maybelline Eye Studio Lumineyes Shadow
Middle: Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed Eyeshadow in Afterpart, Tako, Dollipop and Midori
Bottom: BH Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Matte Eyeshadow Palette, Maybelline Falsies Mascara, Nichido 2-n-1 Mascara, Wet n Wild Eyeliner, Yves Rocher Super Pulp Volumizing Mascara

 FACE PRODUCTS
Sometimes if I dont feel like putting something on my face, all I need is a good moisturizer and Im good to go. The weather doesnt permit me to layer up on foundation and bb cream *sigh*

Top: Wet n Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturiser, Foundation (I forgot the brand), Kokuryu Summer Cake Foundation, Myra Face Moisturiser
Bottom: Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Shine-Free Foundation, Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream Stick

I am definitely getting more soon, in the near future. Or maybe when I move out and get a job? Haha. But I am surely going to buy more.

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Oxidizing Berry

When they were first introduced online, Maybelline Baby Lip Balms became quite the hype in the entire blog universe. Or maybe I am exaggerating? Haha. But seriously, many people were so into it that I had to do everything possible so that I can also check it out. I saw a lot of bloggers review a few, if not all of the variants and I had my eyes set on those pink ones which gives a cute pinkish lips after.

And so when I finally chance upon them on the Maybelline counter, I was looking at the variants and was wondering why they only have four. I even got into a small chuchu fight with the attendant because I told her that this is not the original baby lips :D I recited all the shades that I saw online when it suddenly became obvious to me. The ones here in the Philippines are different from the ones that most of you guys might have bought :( Sad story ayt.

The product promises results in a week's time.. Hmm isnt that something? I guess that explains the hype on these when they first came out in the market.

Its also preloaded with SPF20, so you have nothing to worry about when your out in the sun because you've got protection already.

Instructions, ingredients and a more detailed specification can be found on the back of the packaging. I dont know for you guys, but I have this habit of reading everything on the packaging. I guess I just want to be more informed as to what I am about to use, but most of the time I'm just bored :D

WHAT IT CLAIMS:

> Instant 8 hour moisture.
> Sheds away rough and dryness, revealing a supple, smooth and cushioned lips all day long.
> Reduce fine lip lines.
> Increase elasticity
> Increase suppleness

PACKAGING:

I really love the packaging of Maybelline Lip Balms, especially the Baby Lips. They are all so cute and funny and trendy as well as the colors reminds me of color blocking. Its really an attention grabbing product so once you see it on the shelf you will be drawn to it.

Once the cover is twisted, you will then see the lip balm. In this case, its colorless or just plain white. The flavor is oxidizing berry and it really does smell like berry :3

Then you have to slowly twist the bottom for the lip balm to come out. Basically works just like most lip balm products or lipsticks.

REVIEW:

I usually use this product at night, because I feel want to wake up to a nice result. Haha. Seriously, I know lip balms are usually worn at broad daylight, but when I happen to wake up to my lips peeling after applying this one at night, then I just made it a point to use this at time so that only me can see my flaky lips in the morning. Though Im not sure if peeling is one of the benefits of this product.. But if the advertisement says "Get back the lips that you were born with", then I guess this mini exfoliating benefit could be up to something,

I am not really the lip balm type of person, but I bought this one because I just want to see if it can really give me that baby lips lol. So I just have to put up with oily like substance on my lips at night. Now dont get me wrong, it isnt really that bad. Maybe I am just not used to lip balms, is all.

Overall, I would give this product a 4 out of 5. I am still using this once in a while at night and when I wake up, the peeling is still there. I cant really say that my lips re dry because they're not chappy or anything.. But I guess everytime I use this my lips end up peeling. And I would like to think of that as a good thing :)

Recommend? Yes. Repurchase? Maybe.. If only the US versions are available here, then I wouldnt mind that much. But seeing that we are stuck with only 4 (not to mention boring and colorless) variations, then I guess I won't be buying again.

Review - Maybelline Lip Smooth Lip Balm Cherry

If you have been following me on twitter, then you should have known how much I wanted to try Maybelline's Lip Smooth Lip Balm. Well guess what? I finally bought one. Haha. This lip balm looks cute, and way too cheap too! I only saw two kinds of this one, a red for cherry and a pink for strawberry. I actually wanted the strawberry because its pink but I dont know why I bought the cherry instead. I might just buy the pink one next time.

Nice and simple packaging =)

Cute right?

I wanted a lip balm because my lips has been chappy and all that, and I wanted to hide them but I don't want a lipstick or a lip gloss.

Here's what it claims:
  • Revitalizes dry/dull lips
  • Gives moisturizing shine
  • Softens and smoothens lips
  •
This aint your ordinary lip balm, mind you. Maybelline's Lip Balm is tinted, so you will see your lips turn red. Although not as red as lipsticks, but you will surely be able to see a shade of red. I did some swatches and you can see that it is indeed tinted =)

This is how it looks like under normal lighting.

I fixed the lighting on the photo, just to show that it is really tinted :D

And so when I tried it on my lips, it was easy to apply. And after a few minutes, I can no longer feel like I'm wearing something on my lips! It does not feel heavy or oily, thus super comfortable for everyday wear.

Now I'm super in love with it! I can't live a day without using my Maybelline Lip Balm. It has become a staple for my everyday routine. At first, all I was after for was a remedy for my dry and chappy lips. But now I got something that does not only heal my lips, but also gives it color =)

Maybelline's Lip Smooth Lip Balm Cherry is definitely a purchase worth it, and it is very very affordable too! I would recommend it to anyone.
