The Face Shop Liptint Promo

Hurray for another Buy 1 Take 1 promotion from The Face Shop! This is kinda late by the way but still I want to show my latest lip tint purchase from them. I just bought 2 lip tints for the price of one - yay!

When I learned that The Face Shop is having another BOGO deal for their watery tints, I immediately went to the mall to "check" it out, but somehow ended up with a bag of 2 new lip tints. The first shade is a repurchase, mainly because I really loved the color pay off and the long lasting effect of this shade. Its number 02 Coralster from the watery tint collection and I have already reviewed it here. Now the second one is actually something that I have been wanting to try for the longest time but I just couldn't find it, not until that day. Its number 06 Rose Garden, which is similar to Peripera's Celeb Deep Rose in color. Its a very pretty one and I am so excited to try it out.

Forgive the other one for no longer having the seal, I was too excited I used it immediately after the purchase lol. The shades are very pretty right? I'll be reviewing #06 soon so stay tuned.

REVIEW: The Face Shop Watery Tint in #02 Coralster

Today I'm gonna be reviewing my second watery tint from The Face Shop. I actually got both tints on sale, 2 pcs for Php 250. This second tint wasn't even in my choices, but after testing it on my arms and waking up the next day with the tint still on it I realized this could be a good one, and so I went back to buy it.

Photos were taken at night so it might appear a bit off, but in daylight setting the bottle looks more of an orange, hence the shade name "Coralster". So i never really wanted this because well its orangey and coral doesn't look good on me, but the tester actually left a shade of a nice pink on my arm, which is a bit puzzling for me.

The packaging is pretty straightforward and simple, which can be a good thing. Unlike most Korean products, this lip tint has no girly girl looks on it but just a very simple and classy one. On the bottle itself you will see the product name and the brand name.

I am not familiar with grams and ounces and quantity versus price and stuff but this one contains 5g worth of product. And for the price I got it for? Steal!

On the back packaging you can see the name of the shade which is "Coralster". It doesn't say much, or maybe it does but its in Korean so..

The applicator wand, for me is just like any other lip tint applicator. It does the job, yes. It isn't that long and not that short either. Application has always been easy for me as it glides smoothly on my lips and never gave me any trouble at all. I also find it easy to apply on the corners of my lips.

Don't be scared about the initial color on the bottle. I know its a bit scary as it does look orange on the package, plus the name says coral but trust me, looks can be deceiving. Here I've swatched it on my arms and although it has a hint of orange at first, but wait till it settles completely and has dried up. I just don't like how this seems to be sticky? I mean, comparing it to my The Face Shop Watery Tint in #05 Cherry Red which is watery and runny (thus the name watery tint lol), this one is a bit sticky for my liking and sometimes application is a bit hard as it forms lumps.

I've washed my hands with running water for about 3 to 5 seconds and rubbed my hand as well. Now it has faded a bit and has dried up completely but you can still see the color. I don't really understand why its called coral when its pink for me. I mean, coral should be something orange-ey, right? Haha

Now my lips are really pigmented so the color might be different than the swatches but here you go! I've put a little bit on my lower lip and you can see how pink it is as opposed to my upper lips.

Now here I've tried putting it on both lips, but not as much as you would if its a lipstick. I actually like this style wherein you just dab a little of the product cos I think it makes you look young and fresh, if that makes sense haha.

Overall I am totally sold and in love with this item. Whenever its on sale, I try my best to drop by the mall to pickup a couple of bottles. But even without the sale, the item is still very affordable so I will definitely repurchase, specially this color. Hopefully I can try all shades. Maybe next time.

Review: Sophie Lipstick in Ice Pink (SLPK01)

The weather's pretty gloomy these past few weeks. I have a feeling another typhoon is coming :3 So today I decided to do a review of one of my lip products, the Sophie Lipstick in Ice Pink. Ive had this item for a year or two I guess, so now I can properly give it a review :)

The packaging is very cute and simple. Its a black tube with floral prints and the company logo printed in pink! Yay.

I really loved the floral designs on the tube. Pink and black is really a very good color combination on beauty products because I feel like they entice more people to buy them because of cuteness overload.

I bought this lipstick at a very affordable price, more or less $2. I think there are 3 or 4 more shades in this line, and I got this shade which is called Ice Pink and another one called Cotton Peach.

Also printed on the tube is the expiry date of the product which is on 2015. I think its also important that expiry dates be printed on any beauty products because we would know when to throw away products that are no longer suitable for use. I always check for labels and ingredients of products I use too.

The color name really suits this lipstick because its a pretty Ice Pink in shade. I think this color became a trend in the last 2 years? I remember seeing this lipstick color being worn all over beauty bloglandia and I was dying to try it also. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why I got this haha. This lipstick has a matte finish, so if you wanted something that is not sticky like lipglosses, then you should give this a try. But the downside of it is that I find it a little hard to apply because of its consistency. So it would help if you apply lip balm on your lips first for the lipstick to glide on smoothly.

But the good thing is that this lipstick surprisingly lasts longer. I guess we all have to thank its matte consistency as being the reason why it does not come of easily, even when I was eating and drinking.

And now here is a photo comparison of the lipstick when worn. Its really a vibrant pink, but when light shines on it (like camera flash) it somewhat turns into a purplish pink. Or something purple-ish. Still, its a pretty color I must say.

And lastly, here is a #shamelessselfie, as what its called on instagram. Hehe :P Overall, I dont think this color is a good match for me for daily use. Although I would use it for parties or night out or special occasion, just not for daily use because I find it too flashy for my liking.

Review: IN2IT Lasting Lipstick in Carnelian (LA 04)

Hi :) I have finally found time to blog today, and Im going to do a product review of an item which I bought a month or two ago. I hope you find this review hopeful especially if you come across this product brand in the near future.

So today's product review is about IN2IT Long Lasting Lipstick. I have seen this brand in Watsons a few times already but havent got the chance to buy anything yet, except for one or two items. Its actually pretty cheap in normal beauty product standards, but being a cheapo I still find it a little expensive haha. I think this is an Asian product if my memory serves me right.

One thing I like about the brand is that it has really cute packaging for its products. Like this lipstick for example, the outside packaging is really very simple, with a delicate and cutesy drawing and what seems to be little rhinestones of some sort. Its really really pretty!

The shade I got is called Carnelian, which is actually kind of pink/nude-ish in shade. Im not really good at describing colors, but according to the sales girl this is a brownish shade with pink undertones? Im not sure if I got it right, but oh well, its still a pretty color suitable for daily wear.

I have a Sophie Lipstick and it looks like this one, but its cheaper. I might review it here and compare the colors to see if its indeed a dupe of some sort.

I tried it on my lower lips for comparison to see the difference. As you can see, it comes off as a pinkish color but dont be fooled its actually brownish haha. And yeah, I have darker lips lol.

And after I applied the lipstick on my lips, here is the outcome. I actually like it, knowing that I am not a fan of this kinds of colors. But its actually nice and wearable. This would definitely be perfect for daily use, be it in school or work.

What do you think? I did like the lipstick after all, specially since its quite easy to apply as it slides on easily. Also its not sticky like most lipstick, so I had no problem wearing it the whole time. It lasted the whole day on me too, with occasional eating/drinking.

Would I repurchase? I dont think so. I have seen cheaper lipstick brands which has more or less the same color and is quite good too, so I might just stick on those brands. But if you want to try a new brand, then you should check out IN2IT Cosmetics and you wont regret it.

Review - Maybelline Lip Smooth Lip Balm Cherry

If you have been following me on twitter, then you should have known how much I wanted to try Maybelline's Lip Smooth Lip Balm. Well guess what? I finally bought one. Haha. This lip balm looks cute, and way too cheap too! I only saw two kinds of this one, a red for cherry and a pink for strawberry. I actually wanted the strawberry because its pink but I dont know why I bought the cherry instead. I might just buy the pink one next time.

I wanted a lip balm because my lips has been chappy and all that, and I wanted to hide them but I don't want a lipstick or a lip gloss.

Here's what it claims:

• Revitalizes dry/dull lips
• Gives moisturizing shine
• Softens and smoothens lips
 

This aint your ordinary lip balm, mind you. Maybelline's Lip Balm is tinted, so you will see your lips turn red. Although not as red as lipsticks, but you will surely be able to see a shade of red. I did some swatches and you can see that it is indeed tinted =)

And so when I tried it on my lips, it was easy to apply. And after a few minutes, I can no longer feel like I'm wearing something on my lips! It does not feel heavy or oily, thus super comfortable for everyday wear. 

Now I'm super in love with it! I can't live a day without using my Maybelline Lip Balm. It has become a staple for my everyday routine. At first, all I was after for was a remedy for my dry and chappy lips. But now I got something that does not only heal my lips, but also gives it color =)

Maybelline's Lip Smooth Lip Balm Cherry is definitely a purchase worth it, and it is very very affordable too! I would recommend it to anyone.

Review - Careline Lip Gloss

I had recently purchase a lip gloss and now I'm gonna do a review about it. The product is from Careline and its my first lip gloss, aside from the lip balm that I also purchased from them.

Its pink! I got interested with it because I saw some people with idk how to call their make up theme and then they look really good with natural like lips, but of course I knew they had to be wearing something. And so to try that effect, I bought this instead because I don't like to wear make up and for me a lipstick is too much.

When I first tried this, I thought it left a stingy sensation on my lips. It felt weird at first because of the stickyness but after a few minutes when it has somewhat dried the feeling is okay. And I love the pink color it gives my lips. Better than lipsticks right?

Bottom Line:

I love the pink color on my lips! I am very much satisfied with the product, although I find the feeling of wearing a lip gloss weird at first. I love the faint smell of the lip gloss, and the pink shade of course :)
