Day 1: A Total Inventory of All the Makeup and Makeup Tools You Own

Okay so before I start this post, let me just warn you that you wont be seeing much. As I dont really use a lot of make up and stuffs mainly because I like to keep my face clean. I'm more of an eyeliner - lipstick kind of girl, so that's prolly my most important make up item. But I still buy and use other stuffs, just not that much :P

Anyways, here are a few of my make up and make up tools. Some might be missing cos I think I lost them when we moved. Or my little sister hid them. Again.

As you can see, there's only a few. I dont use that much tools. And most of my items are lip products, cos its what I am really really fond of.

LIP PRODUCTS

I think this is something that I'll always be guilty of. Its like everytime I see a lippy that looks pretty, I get this feeling that I just have to have it :((. But then I try to restrain myself from buying a lot because I dont want them to waste, seeing that I also dont use them a lot. Idk, I just want to collect.

I am thinking of buying a few products soon, maybe when the weather is good enough for make up not to melt. But for now since its so hot, make up is not an option so I'll just be happy with these tools haha. Also, I have a heated eyelash curler but I cant seem to find it.

CHEEK PRODUCTS

Aside from the basic eyeliner and lippies, I also love blush on. Though seldom used, from time to time I apply one just to put a little color on my cheeks or for a fresher look.

Ahhh! Another guilty pleasure. This is more of a collection rather than something that I really need or use. I mean, I would really really love to be able to use them but since I am yet to learn how to apply eyeshadow so these might just have to wait.

Sometimes if I dont feel like putting something on my face, all I need is a good moisturizer and Im good to go. The weather doesnt permit me to layer up on foundation and bb cream *sigh*

Review: NYX Round Lipstick in Sunflower {LSS 638}

Finally, after months of owning my very first NYX product, I am now able to do a proper review of it. I had this with me since the year started and I have been using it for quite some time already. I was really hoping to do a proper review of this product and so I hope that I'll be able to achieve that now :D

NYX Round Lipstick in Sunflower {LSS 638}

NYX Round Lipsticks come in the usual lipstick tube. Its black with the labels written in white, and I like it that way because its easier to read things when they are plain and simple, but still appealing. Also I noticed that at the bottom of the tube there's this thing which actually indicates the lipstick's shade so you don't have to open it to see how it looks. At first I thought they were lip glosses because some lipstick have glosses on the bottom of the tube, but when I accidentally drop this and the bottom case opened, turns out its something jelly like, definitely not gloss *u*

As what I've mentioned, the bottom part hints you of what the lipstick looks like. And within moments of looking at this one, I knew that I am not getting a boring, dull and plain red lipstick. Im not sure if most of you will agree but I see this lipstick as red with a hint of shiny glitter like substance. Haha. I dont know how to describe it, but I know for sure that its not matte.

I find the packaging really simple, and as we all know the simple the better. It makes reading stuffs on the label easier, such as finding the brand name, ingredients, expiration (if ever), etc. The black versus white theme is just pretty. Although I wont mind if NYX decided to go all pink on their RLS :)

On the upper part of the lipstick you can find the code number as well as the shade color. On this one, its LSS638 with the corresponding shade name of Sunflower. Sunflowers are supposed to be yellow right? But not this one though. Or I could be wrong.. I dont really know what made this sunflower-ish, but never mind.

Even with the top view you can already see a hint of sparkles. But not the glittery kind so dont worry. It just adds a little moisture to the lipstick.

Here's a swatch I made on the back of my hands. Its a light red but not the dull or bold red kind. Its just the right red for me, something that I can wear anyday anytime without attracting too much attention to my lips.

And here it is on me. I just applied it lightly and did not go heavy on the application because I dont want to overdo it. If I applied nit heavily then the color will just appear more but it will still be the same, just a little heavier. And I dont mind wearing this everyday because its not too much of a red to me. Its more of like natural red, right? And so I'll proclaim this as myto go lipstick =)

What do you think? I dont know if there are a lot of you who have tried this shade, because as I was trying to look for watches on this I cant find any on the internet. So I hope I was able to give you guys an idea as to how pretty this shade really is.

New NYX Lip Products

Last week I bought 2 new lip products from NYX. They were cheap, and I got them from the same seller that I purchased my first NYX products. This time, I bought the same products still but in different shades.

NYX Round Lipstick and Round Lipgloss

First item that I got is the NYX Round Lipstick in Chic. I wanted to try a pink lipstick because it seems to be the trend nowadays, but problem is I dont know how to apply it properly to achieve the shade that I want :3

Its really a pretty shade of pink, like bubble gum or something. Hmm next time I am going to get that shocking pink thing :D

And the other product I bought is a round lipgloss. Lipglosses are sticky but they really look cute and all so yeah, bought it :p

This one is in the shade of RLG 19 Apricot, and is a mix of pink and orange, cant decide which but the shade is really pretty in reality.

Hopefully when the camera is back I'll be able to review these products, and my other NYX lipstick :)

Review: NYX Round Lip Gloss in #01 True Red

Today I'm going to hare to you a product that I am using everyday. Actually, I'm not that much of a make-up person, so I only apply what I am comfortable wearing. So yeah, today's product review is all about one of my favorite lip gloss brand, NYX.

I bought this lip gloss maybe two months ago. Its my first NYX product and I instantly fell in love with the brand. Too bad they're not locally available, and if I find them online they are already twice as much the original price :|

NYX Round Lip Gloss in #01 True Red

I really like the bottle packaging of this lip gloss. Its got this cute prints that are surely girly. And its even easier to see what shade you are looking for even if you have them stacked up somewhere because the shade/label is printed on the top.

I've had a local brand lip gloss before and the applicator wasn't the same as this. I came across a blog talking about this slightly bended shape of the applicator and it says there that this is solely for the purpose of easy application, which I would like to agree. With a slightly bent applicator, applying lip gloss to your lips is indeed easier and less messy.

Here I put a small amount of lip gloss on my hand. You can clearly see how red it is. Beautiful. A small amount could already add a red shade to your dull lips.

And even on a photo with flash, the red is very much obvious. Its a nice shade of red thats pretty much wearable everyday.

My Review

Although its a lip gloss, I only apply a small amount to my lips. I am kinda using this product as a lip tint because I only want a hint of red on my lips, enough to make it not look dull. A small amount is enough to cover your bare lips, making it slightly red. Its a little sticky, but not in a bad way. Also, the product smells nice in my opinion, unlike most beauty products which has a strong scent. The tube is also small enough to fit in your purse so you can carry it with you wherever you go.

I would definitely buy more of these lip glosses if I could find them in my local stores for a reasonable price. Its really one of the best brands that are not expensive and has really good products. I would really love to try more NYX products like their lipsticks and blushes.

Recent Buys

It has been raining for days and I feel so tired to do anything. Good thing I finally had time to go with the mother to shop for stuffs before the rainy days started pouring. I only bought a few stuffs, and I'm going to post them today ^_^

Small haul :P

First up is this oil-ish stuff from eRAse solution. I have been using this for months and I can really attest to its effectiveness! I already have a lot of empty bottles and I'll continue to buy this product ^_^ Hmmm I might just do a review on this so that you guys can check it out too.

The next two stuffs are something that I really did not intend to buy. I actually didn't even plan it but when I saw them online at a very reasonable price I knew I had to get it, and so I did bwahah >:) Now I am happy I got it because I really love them <3

I don't like lipstick because its sticky and all but this NYX Round Lipstick is not sticky at all. After application I couldn't feel that I'm wearing it so it was comfy imo. I got a shade which is not too bold, just a natural shade that nobody would even know I had lipstick on me.

And I also got a lip gloss in shade True Red. I'm still skeptical about wearing bold colors like red and such so I reckon a lip gloss might be a good start, thus the red color that I chose to buy.

The last two stuffs are new in my stuffs, but I've seen them before. I just wasn't interested in them as I am now before because I thought they were just another of "those" products who promises this and that but doesn't work at all. I'm still going to try them out and I hope I find them to my liking.

I wanted a nose pack with the peeling effect so I gave this iWhite Nose Pack a try. I remember using these before and I could sense that peeling them would hurt :O

Last is this whitening pack from iWhite still. Lol I didn't know why I bought this when I know for a fact that whitening doesn't happen in seconds, unless of course you undergo medical operation. Haha but since I wanted something to go with the nose pack so I just grab this one too. I'm not hoping to get white you know, maybe just a little lighter :P

And that's it. I plan to review these items soon, I hope I don't get lazy. I just hate the rainy seasons because I can't seem to do anything basically because I'm too tired and damn lazy to even move a finger :D
