NOTD; Nail Stamping Using the Hello Kitty Nail Art Plate from Born Pretty Store

Hello readers :) I had a really tiring day today. Not only today but since last week, and I really wish that I could rest from all this stress but I cant because I have to keep moving. Good thing I have stuffs that makes me happy and gives me strength- my beauty and nail art stuffs :)) HAHA

So yesterday I showed you swatches of Wet n Wild's Teal or No Teal. I would have opted for some 3D nail art but since I dont have any idea yet as to how to do it, I just decided to do nail stamping. I used the metal plate that I got from Born Pretty Store when they had this massive Hello Kitty Metal Plate giveaway early this year I think.

This is the template that I used, but the stamp and scraper were not part of the freebie so I bought my own. Check out the link below if you want to purchase this item too. Its only for $2.99, free shipping already :)

After painting my nails with Teal or No Teal, I left it for about 5 minutes to make sure that its already dry. I dont want to stamp on slightly wet nail polish because it will just ruin my nails, and I dont like looking at it lol.

I chose this simple floral design because I find it interesting with the leaves or petals detail on the side. Its like the leaves/petals are falling or are being blown away. Nice ^_^

I tried to add a rhinestone on the center of the flower but its too big for the flower so I took it off. I then left the design as simple as that because I think its better. Also, I dont want to do the stamping again if things go wrong with the rhinestones. Stamping can be quite hard if you're not used to it, and you have to be careful so that you'll get the right image you want and transfer it properly. Although basically its just as easy as stamp and press, it can be as difficult as putting a thread on a needle.

Anyways, here are a few more photos of my NOTD, feel free to check them out.. Although its not really that impressive hehe. I am thinking of going 3D next time, and hope that my other order from Born Pretty Store arrives because I am so excited. Err I can be patient with almost anything except on my packages so please give em to me right now! Lol :p

Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp from Born Pretty Store

Hi guys! I am back again with another Nail Art stuff that I would want to share to you. If you have read my Born Pretty Haul last November 21st, you must have seen the stamping kit that I bought. The Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp is a beginner's kit which contains all the necessary things needed for us nail lovers to do simple and cute nail art on our nails via stamping. Here's a photo of what the kit looks like.

Hello Kitty & Floral Stamping Nail Art Kit W/ 3 pcs Nail Stamp, $8.77 || Buy HERE

The stamping kit contains a stamp and a scraper (both in pink), 2 stamping plates (Hello Kitty and Floral) and three bottles of nail polishes (red, green and blue.)

If you have absolutely no idea as to how this thing works, you can always read the instruction at the back. I must say that I am quite impressed with the instructions on this product, because unlike most China products, the written English is almost perfect and is very much understandable.

But if in case its still not clear, I'll put the instructions in my own words as descriptively as possible :)

Instructions on Nail Stamping
  1. Prepare the necessary things you will be needing (i.e. stamp, scraper, nail polish, nail polish remover and the stamping plate).
  2. Check if your base nail polish has already dried because you wouldn't want to mess up your nails.
  3. Choose the design that you want from the plate. Apply a small amount of nail polish on the design, making sure that the whole area of the design is covered.
  4. Grab the scraper and scrape of excess nail polishes.
  5. Using the stamp, quickly stamp it on the plate so as to make the design transfer on the rubber stamp.
  6. After checking that the design has transferred to the stamp, you are now ready to stamp it on your nails. When it has dried up already, apply a top coat.
The stamp and scraper that came with the kit comes in a pretty pink color which I absolutely love. The scraper has a plastic finish, and so I doubt if it will last long. I haven't used this one yet as I already have a stamp and scraper which I bought separately but still from Born Pretty Store (read related post here). That scraper has a metal edge and I like using it, better than plastic of course :)

Plastic scraper~

The kit also contained two stamping plates which I find as a disappointment only because there were a lot of scratches on the plate. If you check out the photos below, you can see how ugly it is, almost like it has been used already. I don't know who or what to blame for it, and it could be a random defect only. But still its not a big deal because the plate can still function and the scratches will still happen anytime soon. Lol.

Adorable Hello Kitty at the center ^_^

Cute floral designs :)

Another minor disappointment were the nail polishes that came with the kit. They were quite sticky and I cant seem to get a hold of it. I had to shake it like a mad girl just to make the consistency better. Good thing it came back to a good state and I was able to use it, but not for stamping thought. I used it to create dots :P But of course everything deserves second chances so I will give these nail polishes another try. Who knows it might work the next time?

Overall, I am very happy with this product. The rants I mentioned above are not really that bad because they can be remedied and shouldn't be taken as a loss. This stamping kit has made my life easier especially on lazy days when I am running out of nail art ideas, this has saved me.

The prize of course is another thing. Its actually very very cheap, and you also get free shipping. That's what I love the most about Born Pretty Store <3

So if you guys want to try nail art stamping, I definitely recommend this stamping kit to you. Its very much affordable because it retails for only $8.77. Plus you can get an additional 10% OFF your purchases if you enter the coupon code JELL73.

Until the Last Petal Falls...

In my previous post I have been ranting about the Nail Stamping Tools that I recently got from Born Pretty Store. I was so excited about my newest tool so I immediately set out and started doing my nails.

First, I still have my latest nails here, which I posted here. This will be my base nail polish for the moment as I am too lazy to remove it and swatch another shade. This will do, as of now :) So after coating your nails with any nail polish of your choice, you are now ready to get stamping.

The stamping plate I will be using now is the Hello Kitty Stamping Plate that I got from Born Pretty Store months ago, when they had a massive giveaway of it on their shop. I was one of the lucky girls who got it. But don't be sad, if you didnt get it, you can still get it for only $2.99, free shipping here. To be specific, I used a simple floral pattern on the plate.

And after a few trial and errors, I finally made my first ever stamping nail art! Its horrible in close up view, but from afar it looks decent enough. LOL. Haha

But here's a close up view of the design. Please excuse my design. I am still a noob at stamping and I am yet trying to figure out how to make the design transfer to my nails better. Its just a matter of trial and error and being patient enough.

Never mind the pinky finger, its a mess :|

Overall, I'd like to say this has been a success ^pats back^. Haha But I am still going to practice more now that I have four metal plates already. Yup, I now have four because a new package came in the mail today which I will be showing in another post later.

Rest assured, I will be playing with my stamping tools more now so that I will be able to achieve better looking nail designs :)

Stamping Nail Art Stamper with Scraper and a Lovely Heart Stamp Template-m59 from Born Pretty Store

I am really so focused on my nail art right now. It hasn't been long since I received my 15 pcs. Nail Art Design Brush from Born Pretty Store, and now another nail art stuff came ^_^. This time I'm going to try my luck with stamping because I just bought a Stamping Nail Art Stamper with Scraper and a Lovely Heart Stamp Template-m59 from Born Pretty Store still. Hehe I a so addicted to this site mainly because stuffs there are so cheap, plus its free shipping too. Anyways, this won't be a review as I am only going to let you see what I got, but be on guard as I will be posting next my first stamping nail art.

Stamp, Scraper and Plate

The design might not be that much visible because its covered with a blue protective plastic. Don't forget to remove that before using. Many people have said that the stamp doesn't work because they did not see the protective plastic on the plate :p

And I just realized that the back of the plate can also be used as a mirror ^_^

Anyways, here are ore photos of the stamping tools. Enjoy~

If you plan to buy these items, you can go online at Born Pretty Store. They have a lot of nail art products there, as well as beauty products, lifestyle and more.
