First Impression and Unboxing - SJ400 Air Wifi Action Camera from SJCam

A few days ago I finally received my SJ400 Air Action Camera from SJCam Philippines via Lazada. I got it for Php 2249.00 only. I was actually debating between this and the regular SJ400 Action Camera as the price difference isnt that much but I went for this anyway.

Actual box and the label

On the lower left side are the specifications of the camera for easy checking. The camera claims to be 4K capable with Full HD and with a 2 inch view-able screen. Cool!

The camera itself is housed in a plastic casing and is easily seen when looking at the box. I personally like the simple packaging as it looks classy for me.

On the side of the box you can see whats included in the package: the camera itself, camera waterproof case and some accessories.

To verify the authenticity of the item theres a scratch box on the other side for verification purposes. To download the phone application to be used for the camera, I just scanned the bar code here.

This is where the accessories are. I so love the box and the gold like embossed label for accessories! Nothing special on the inside though, but still A+ for the packaging.

The standard package includes the manual and some stickers, plus the USB cord/wire for charging and for file transfer. Note that theres no plug/adapter included so you have to buy one or just plug through a power bank or computer to charge.

These are the free accessories. I dont really know if I need them but its good to know that I have them for free. I have way more accessories on my Xiaomi YI Cam compared to these, but we will see if I can really use it all.

And the camera! I chose the black color. Matte black I think? Because I love black. Plain and simple. The case is also very nice. It isnt like your generic waterproof casing. I had a hard time opening the case because of its lock feature plus it also is very sturdy, hard and secure in my opinion.

These are the buttons on the right side for navigation purposes on the camera. Can you see the thick border rim on the camera lens part?

Theres the power button in front of the camera.

Theres another button on top of the camera as well for navigation and for taking pictures. And the notorious lock for the case that had me puzzled for a good 5 minutes jsut thinking about how to open the case lol.

On the other side is where the USB slot is, plus another slot for HDMI I think? I kinda forgot sorry.

And of course, the 2 inch screen on the back for viewing whenever you're taking photos, videos or just simply doing a playback of what you've taken so far.

You can connect the camera on to your phone via WIFI for easy navigation specially in taking pictures.

It comes with the manual written in English and other languages, whichever you prefer.

Here's a quick guide for the navigation buttons.

Here's a side by side comparison of my Xiaomi YI Cam and the SJ400 Air Action Camera. Roughly the same sizes and the design, with the excemption of some navigation button placement. I love the quality of my photos on my YI Cam so I hope the SJ400 Air can deliver good results too.

Battery and the SD Card. Battery is free of course but the SD card will be a separate purchase.

The battery packs 900mAh which doesn't seem that much so you might want to consider buying a second battery. I am currently in the hunt for another one to pack just in case.

In the flesh! I really love the matte black design and color.

This is where the battery is placed. Just open the lock and insert the battery.

The SD Card slot is located on the same side as the USB slot too.

I havent used the camera yet due to work schedule but I plan to use it next month on a trip to Bantayan Island. I am really excited about using it and see what the outcome would be, but here's a sample shot that I accidentally have taken while the checking the camera. Not too bad, eh?

Once I can use the camera I will be posting more sample pictures and videos and maybe a review if I am not busy.

Ultra Bright Keychain LED Flashlight Torch from Born Pretty Store

I am a self confessed addict to Born Pretty Store. I have been constantly buying stuffs from them, mostly nail art and make up stuffs. But who would mind spending $$$ when you can earn rewards from them? Yup, you heard me right. Born Pretty Store has a very nice reward program that lets me shop shop shop for more! Haha So anyway, Miss Amanda from the BPS Team contacted me and offered to give me this Ultra Bright Keychain LED Flashlight Torch. Of course I took the chance and said yes because I wasn't able to get this the first time they gave away a lot of this.

Its actually very small but do not underestimate. You'll know why later ^_^. Aside from being a little flashlight, its also a key chain. So this would be perfect for carrying around, lets say hanging on your bags. I placed it on my bag already. Now I have something to light my way when I'm going home at night.

The switch to the flash light can be found at the back, which is turned on by toggling a switch. I think this is easier than pushing a button. With a switch, you can have the light turned on for as long as you like and just turn it off by toggling the switch again.

Here's how the bulb or LED looked like. Its located at the bottom of the flash light. And did you happen to see that circle sticker on the middle? Yup, its a sticker which you can easily remove and replace. So in other words, this item can also be used as a giveaway gift or promotional gift to corporate events or any other events. Just create a sticker, have it customized and stick it on the center! Easy to do and its also very practical.

There are three colors available for this product: Blue, Black and Gray. They sent me a blue one which is very nice in shade :)

And now for something that I told you on the earlier part of this post, do not underestimate this item because it might be small but it gives off a very bright light :) Yay~ I tried it on and here's 2 photos that I took.

taa daah~ bright light :D

Now I'm just so glad to receive this item. Its very useful nowadays. Its also easy to use and the batteries can be replaced easily if the power runs out.

If you happen to be interested to this gadget, here are the specs according to the site:
Price: $2.99
Battery: 2 CR2016 button cells with over 12 hours run time (continuous use)
Brightness: 22000mcd LED
Switch: PCB control switch

This Ultra Bright Keychain LED Flashlight Torch is actually very affordable, retailing for only $2.99. Plus its Free Shipping too :) And if you happen to purchase from Born Pretty Store, don't forget to use coupon code JELL73 to get an additional 10% OFF your total purchase! Have fun shopping :)

Which is Which?

I've been contemplating on buying an android phone, but after months of planning and thinking I am still undecided as to what phone model and brand to buy. I have a lot of choices in mind, and of course the price is the first consideration. I only plan to buy something which will cost me Php12,000 or less (roughly $500). Don't get me wrong, I can afford much more than that but I don't want to spend too much on just a mobile phone.

Anyways, here are a few of my choices on mobile phones. I think I only have a few options because not all mobile phone models will be sold and available here in the Philippines. Please tell me which of the following is the best value for my money. I am only after a phone with a nice camera and longer battery life.

 LG Optimus Black - Php15,990

HTC Explorer - Php 6,000 - 7,000

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro - Php 11,700

Lol when I said I only have a few choices I didn't realize it would be this few. Well, I still have a month or more to decide and look at the displays on malls.

My|Phone QT7 Duo {Product Review}

Today I'm gonna do a blog post dedicated to my cellphone which I've had for a few months already. Yes, a few months is already an achievement in contrast to my 3-day cellphone record lol. I currently own a My|Phone QT7 Duo. Its a QWERTY Phone from My|Phone, a Filipino brand of cellphone. Before reviewing, I'd like to show first the specifications of the said cellphone :)

My|Phone QT7 Duo Specifications

My Review

 front view; its QWERTY

backview :) I designed mine with stickers but it was not finished

During the first few days, I was loving my phone. But then after quite some time, I grew tired of the keypad. I realized that it was not exactly what I wanted. But being the poor student that I am, I cant afford yet a brand new phone so I decided to stick with this one.

My view on this phone changed when I tried its internet services.I was happy with its cellphone browser, but was even happier with the built in Opera Mini. Now I can live without a computer (except for gaming purposes lol) because this phone has already become my own computer! I can surf, browse, research and even email or blog with my My|Phone QT7 Duo :)

I also like the password protection on the Inbox because I have some secrets there :P and the trackball navigation makes it easy for me to navigate through, especially when browsing. I can also read eBooks on my phone and the trackball made it easy for me to go through.

No more reading of messages! Hello privacy :D

The bad thing about this phone is its low resolution and low built in memory, which I think is the reason why I cant play youtube videos on it. Although I can surf and browse youtube, I cant play the music because it says something about memory :(

But nevertheless, I still love my phone. My mother even wants it because of the Internet but I said NO :P Hahahaha I wouldnt trade this for anything else. I might buy another touchscreen phone but I will never give this up.

Here are a few shots that I made while browsing on my My|Phone QT7 Duo. (Don't mind the lines or something, I guess its because of the camera and the screen of the cellphone being sensitive with one another I guess?)

 Its my Blog :)

 Yahoo Messenger on my phone

 Facebook? Lol

And Gmail of course!

Overall, I would rate this a 4 out of 5 because of the services. For the design and looks, I would say it would be better if it is improved and should be available in more colors. Also, the casing should be made available for the consumers so that we can change it according to our preference.
