New Nail Polishes + an NOTD

It's been a while since I last did an NOTD post, so today's post will be about nail polishes. First, I'll start off by showing two new nail polishes that I bought from a local shop. These are Made in the Philippines too. 

I forgot the names of the shades that I got but the green sparkly one is from a local brand called Clik, while the white one is from a brand called Rain. These are super cheap and affordable, that's why I really won't mind buying a lot of colors at once.

This green sparkly nail polish has glitters all over it. When painted on the nails, its actually more of a top coat because it is colorless, the only difference is that it has glitters sprinkled all over. It also has a few stars in the bottle, which I find cute :)

The other one that I bought was a white one. I don't really buy white nail polishes because I don't use them for base, but since I have a lot of nail art designs in mind that uses white nail polishes, I have then opted to buying one.

 

I mentioned that these were cheap ones right? Yes, both bottles did not even reached $1. Super save for a broke girl like meh haha.

And as for my NOTD, I had to do a fast one so I only had my nails painted with white nail polish and topped with the green glittery nail polish. Super simple and super not me, but nah I had to rush it because I am going out and I can't live with my nails bare.

Now I'm not sure if the glitters are clear on the photos, but in reality its there. I also tried putting in the stars but opted not too because I had the wrong side of the stars on my nails and it will just end up being taken off when my nails get tangled with my hair for example. Just a simple nail polish will do, for a change :)

I love books, got two new ones =)

I have always been a book work. I love reading books, whether thick or thin ones, regardless of the genre for as long as the story captivates my liking. And since I am no longer in school, I can't read books that much since I cant spend money on them (I'm broke like that), and I have already read my little book collection at home a hundred times. That's why I love to join book giveaways on many blogs so that I'll still be able to read books if I win :)

Up to date, I think I've won maybe more or less 10 books, both paperback and e-books. As for the paperback, I have received only four books at the moment though I'm pretty much sure that I won more than 4 paperback copies :|

Anyways back to the books, I got two lovelies last week and this week. The first one was a copy of  Sweet Valley High Confidential by Francine Pascal, which was delivered straight to my house (which is not common for packages here in the Philippines, unless of course its the more expensive couriers). I was shocked to receive it because I couldn't remember winning it. I even searched through my e-mail to check where it could be but I didn't find anything. What made the book even more special was that it had a written note saying: Free Proof Copy - Not for Sale or Quotation. Hmmm I must have gotten it for free indeed. Haha I'm not bothered whether I won it or not, I'm just happy to have a copy. I could still remember how exciting the whole series was for me way back then. I used to sneak in to my cousin's house just to read SVH books :P

I have finished reading this book already, and I might review it. I was really really mad at Jessica while reading this book, and also to Todd. I hate both of them. I can relate with this book because of the hatred that Elizabeth is feeling. Okay enough about the book, review will be in another post so stay tuned :)

As for the second book, its a copy of Settling by Shelley Workinger. I have won this one last week, and after 7 days I got the book. Now that's super fast shipping, considering the author sent this via a cheaper courier only. Haha

I've started reading the book, and I'm on chapter six (page 51). So far, I am loving the story. I've read in blogs about the previous book called Solid, saying how much good it was. Sadly I don't have a copy of that previous story, but because of what people are saying about it I pretty much have an idea already. After I read this I will do a review on it too, so watch for it too :)

P.S. if you know any blog who's having an international book giveaway, please let me. I would really love to win books because I super love reading and I wouldn't mind a life without a computer, as long as I have a huge library of books. Also, if there are any authors out there who would want me to review their books, just let me know. Although I would prefer paperback copies because it would be easy and fast to read them, I wouldn't mind e-books too :) Thanks!

Product Review:

Good thing their was in instruction in English on their website, else I wouldn't understand the instructions on the back of the package because it was written in Japanese I think? Haha but nah even without instructions, I still know how to use it though I would prefer reading the instructions first before doing anything :P

What it looks like

I got one pack from the box and opened it. I found it very cute because of its shape. I'm not sure if you can see it but there's a protective sheet on the nose pore clear pack. Hmm I guess items that have adhesives or that stick has them right? Lol so anyways, I peeled of the clear sheet and placed the pack on my nose. I had it on for about 20 minutes, which is way past the ones in the instructions but I don't mind, I look cute in it duh. Haha :P

Lol what am I doing?

Now I'm not sure if I had it right, or could it be the other way around? I don't know which side should be up or down coz it wasn't on the site either. But I don't think that's a big deal. And so after wearing it for a good 20 minutes I had it removed and I was like O_O. Ewee didn't know my nose was this dirty yay.


Im not sure if its a good idea to show the photo but uhm I guess you won't mind? Haha just be aware that its sort of yucky to see it :|

Yes, that's how dirty it is. You can see the dirt that were on my pores, mostly whiteheads. Although I can't really say that my nose was super clear after using it, but I'm sure that it looked more clean than before, seeing these dirt on the nose pack.


The Good Thing:

   ♔ No strong smell.

The Bad Thing:

   ♔ Doesn't stick that much, less adhesive in it.

   ♔If you have oily skin, it won't stick properly.

I must say that I really love this nose pack. I have tried a local one here and the result was nowhere near this product, so I'm very happy with it. The only problem I had was because I had oily skin, it won't stick easily. I had a little problem sticking it into my nose, but after a few tries I finally managed to have it stay up there :P
