Review: By Wishtrend Green Tea and Enzyme Powder Wash (Part 1)
Today I am excited to share a new facial product that just arrived earlier today. This is something new to me so I am really looking forward to receiving it. This will be a two part review post by the way, part 1 being about the unboxing, the packaging and first impression and part 2 (which will be uploaded in a couple of days) will be about my review and experience with the product.
The product I am talking about is the By Wishtrend Green Tea and Enzyme Powder Wash. The reason why I am excited about this item is because this is my first time to use a powder face wash. Most of the time I use gel, liquid or foam facial wash so when I saw this powder wash, I was intrigued and wanted to try it. Aside from that, it has green tea which is said to be good for acne. Although I haven't had that much breakouts lately, but I have also cut down on my skin routine and just stick to the basic.

Review: Mistine Dolly Big Eye Waterproof Mascara
Who would have thought its December in a few days already? My birthday is also coming up and I feel so old now, but it is what it is. Anyways today I'll be reviewing the mascara I got from my Mistine PH Haul from Lazada. Spoiler: I may have found my new favorite mascara (it used to be the one from Fashion21). So continue reading to know more about this product.

Lazada 11.11 Haul from Mistine
Today my order from Lazada came! This was my only 11.11 order from Lazada and I feel so mature because usually I have a lot off orders during the 11.11 sale haha. Anyways, I bought 6 items from Mistine because they were on sale and the reviews look promising. Mistine is a famous brand from Thailand by the way, and recently became popular here in the Philippines because of Thai BL actors like Bright, Win, Tay and New. Yes, I am a fan and I watch BL, but I haven't purchased anything from the Idolo series yet.
So for now I'll show you what I got and reviews will be posted as soon as I am able to use the items. P.S. - some of the items are for my mom so the reviews and photos will be based on her experience.
First up is this MelaKlear Alpha Arbutin Anti-Melasma Concentrate Cream. My mom has been complaining about the dark spots on her face and she claims its melasma so I got this for her. Its a day and night cream that claims to effectively lighten dark spots specially melasma so I hope this works for her as I got two bottles.

REVIEW: Luxe Organix Castor Oil Eyelash and Brow Growth Serum
Hi everyone! Today I'm going to share my thoughts about this product called Castor Oil Eyelash and Brow Growth Serum from Luxe Organix. I've been using this since July, so I think I can now properly provide some thoughts and insights about the product. Excited? Let's start.
I got this tube from Watsons and it retails between Php 109.00 - Php 120.00, sorry I forgot the exact amount. It contains 10ml of castor oil in a tube packaging, which resembles that of a mascara. For the price, it isn't bad. According the the packaging, this is for both eyelash and eyebrow hair growth and will aim to provide longer, thicker and healthier eyelashes and brows.
The packaging is very simple and chic - black tube with an accent of a somewhat blue green color? I don't know, I'm not the best when it comes to describing colors. Haha. I like how it is so handy that it can fit in your purse.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Luxe Organix Castor oil eyelash and eyebrow serum is a combination of ingredients that helps promote longer; thicker and healthier eyelash and eyebrows.
- 100% Natural
- Paraben Free
- Hexane Free
- Not tested on Animals
There's also a rubber stopper on top of the opening. It's really like your usual mascara, application is also going to be similar.
INGREDIENTS
Water; Red Ginseng Extract; Panax Notoginseng Extract; Butylene Glycol; Helichrysum Bracteatum Flower Extract; Peg-40 Castor Oil; Laurocapram; Phenoxyethanol; Citric Acid
HOW TO USE
- The Eyelash Growth Serum can be used two times daily (in the morning and evening before bedtime).
- The eye should be completely clean of any make-up or eye creams.
- Apply the serum from the inner corner of the eye outward. Directly on then base of your eyelashes.
- Then from the roots of eyelashes. Please use the mascara brush repeatedly. May also apply to eyebrow area.
A lot of people have actually been saying that the mascara wand is harsh to the skin as the brush isn't that soft. I think I've poked myself in the eye a couple of times already, so instead of applying it like how I apply my mascara, what I do is just let the end part of the brush touch the roots of my eyelashes or the skin, enough to put the serum on the root part. That way it doesn't hurt.
Luxe Organix suggests to use this continuously for 3 months for optimal results. As for me, I've used this continuously for a month and I can really see the difference. It's not that much yet, but I am really loving the results so far to the point that I've already purchased 2 bottles even though I haven't fully consumed the first one yet! Here are some before and after photos for comparison.

Update: Here's my lashes as of September 20, 2020. I've permed my upper lashes by the way, DIY style haha, so there's no growth there since the last photo above. But I continued the application on my lower lash line, twice daily.
Update: I've been lazy for the last month because I started to go back to working again after months of quarantine so I haven't really used this for a while. I'll start my routine again of using this serum twice a day and post an updated photo on this post after 2-4 weeks to see if there's any major difference.
Overall, i really love this serum. I've also heard they have made changes to the wand so it could be softer than before but I haven't bought a new bottle yet as I still have my old stash. I'll prolly check it our next month.

REVIEW: Dr. Sensitive Acne Clearing Pads
Today I'm gonna be reviewing a product I've started using recently. These are clearing pads from a brand called Dr. Sensitive, which I chance upon Watsons last time. Although I only started incorporating this product in my daily routine for a few days, but I will be giving out my initial impressions about this product.
I got 2 packs of these clearing pads to try out. I am using it every morning, just right after my cleanser and before I apply my toner. Please let me know if I'm doing it wrong, but I figured I would rather apply this after cleansing to make sure my face is clean before I apply my toner and serum.
Dr. Sensitive Acne Clearing Pads 30 sheets - Php 49.00 (Watsons)
The product is actually affordable for the price and quantity, plus it is also handy. I've been meaning to buy those clearing pads from CosRX but its a bit pricey, and I'm not sure if its going to work out for me so having this instead is like a trial for me. Plus, it contains salicylic acid which is good for acne prone skin and this product claims to clear and help prevent acne.
Product Description:
Dr. Sensitive™ Acne Clearing Pads has a gentle exfoliating action that unclogs pores and helps prevent acne. Contains salicylic acid
Caution: This product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Do not flush
Ingredients:
Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Isopropyl Myristate, Ethyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Decyl Glucoside, Methylparaben, Bronopol, Citric Acid
How to Use:
Use on clean skin; dab on pimples or blemishes. Can also be used all over the face to help exfoliate and unclog pores. Avoid lip and eye area. Start with one application daily and increase gradually to two to three times a day. Reseal tightly after use.
The packaging reminds me of those facial wipes and wet tissues, albeit this is smaller making it really handy. I reckon I can bring this with me anywhere due too its small pocket-able size, and could possibly be an alternative to washing specially if I'm out and about. I only paid Php 49.00 or about $1 for 30 sheets already. A pack can easily last me a month with once a day use, or 2 weeks if I use it at least twice a day!
Since this is my first clearing pad, I can't compare it to other brands, but here are my observations though. Feel free to comment if there's anything that I might have missed out.
Pros:
- Light weight, easy to carry and handy
- Cheap
- Value for money in terms of price vs quantity
Cons:
- Cotton is thin
- Cotton is not that moisturized
As you can see, the pad is actually thin. I don't know if clearing pads are really supposed to be this way, or maybe this is just the case for this particular brand because of the packaging. I feel like those from CosRX are thicker like those round cotton because of the tub packaging.
Also another observation is that the cotton pad is not that moisturized or I felt like its a bit drier that what I was expecting? Maybe it's because this has been stored for 2-3 months due to the lock-down and this is just an old stock? I'll try to pick up a new one that's recently manufactured and compare if its still the same.
Overall, I am quite pleased with this product. It's definitely great value for money, and an alternative to facial wipes or cleansing wipes since this is specifically for acne prone skin. I will continue to use this daily and hopefully it won't give me any break outs. Aside from the two cons I've listed about, I don't have anything to complain really. Repurchase? Yes, specially if I'm going back to work again or if I will be travelling.

May Purchases - Skincare Products
And just like that, its May already! We are still under community quarantine, but at least some things are still available, like online shopping ^_^ . Today I'll be sharing the first package I received for this month - skin care products. I was actually thinking that since we can't go out and if we can, we still have to wear mask, make up wouldn't be practical so why not invest in skin care instead right?
I bought 4 items online from Shopee PH. Its from a seller of Korean Products. To be honest, I have a few sellers whom I purchase from, but this particular seller sold them for a cheaper price, plus the reviews were also great so I decided to buy from them. Seller was also kind to include a sample freebie :)
L-R: Apieu Nonco Tea Tree Spot Patch, CosRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Freebie: Etude House Baking Poder Pore Cleansing Foam Sachet
I've tried The Ordinary products before, specifically the Niacinamide one. I purchased 5-6 products from them 3 years ago, and I can't recall what exactly happened. But I do know I wasn't able to finish all bottles which was such a waste. I've been seeing a lot of reviews online again about how effective they are, specially the retinoid and peeling solution (which I also purchased years back), so I wanted to try them again and this time make sure to commit to use them properly and continuously.
I only got 2 products this time as I don't want to overwhelm myself with a lot of items at a time. I'm not really familiar with layering of skin care products, so for now I am trying to follow a routine wherein I use the Niacinamide in the morning and the Toning Solution at night. I try not to layer anything else after using them as I wanted to see if it works or if its going to give me any breakouts, so I'm trying to hold back on my other products for now aside from my usual cleanser, peeling gel (a few times in a week) and my acne lotion.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 240 mL - $11 (Deciem) | Php 720.00 (Shopee)
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 30 mL - $7 (Deciem) | Php 510.00 (Shopee)
I also included some Acne Patches, just in case we get to go out in the real world. I purchased about 5 boxes of pimple patch last December in Seoul but I've already almost used them up so I bought some extra in case. The patches were really sticky and nice and cheap too! Once things are better and we are now allowed to travel, I will definitely buy a lot of those patches.
Apieu Nonco Tea Tree Spot Patch - Php 25.00 (Shopee)
CosRX Acne Pimple Master Patch - Php 130.00 (Shopee)
So that's it for now. I'm still on my 5th day of using the bottles I've purchased and so far I haven't had any major break outs apart from what I already have T_T. I am really hoping that these items will do wonders for me as they're a bit pricey, otherwise I might have to resort to different products again.

April Haul - Make up!
Hi everyone! Its almost May 2020 already, can you believe it? Time flies by so fast, and with the quarantine going on, I didn't even realize we're almost halfway through the year! I've been staying at home for a month now, and I have missed out on a lot of things. Yeah, we're talking about food here - milk tea, samgyupsal and Korean barbecue T_T but that's fine. At least my online purchases are arriving!!
So 2 weeks ago, Club Clio Philippines had a 50% off sale at Lazada Philippines. I consider the brand as an expensive one, as opposed to its sister company Peripera (cos I'm broke all the time), but because of the sale I saw on Facebook, I decided to just check it out and see what's for sale.. and ended up with two things haha.
Clio Pro Tinted Veil Blusher 002 Watch Out - ₱650.00 (₱325.00 after sale)
Peripera Ink Airy Velvet 007 Heart Grapefruit - ₱450.00 (₱225.00 after sale)
To give you an idea of my purchases, here's a screenshot from my order. I only paid Php 547.00 for 2 items already! I was so excited, specially with the blush on as this is my first Club Clio item (I have loads of Peripera items already).
I placed the order on April 17 and it was delivered on the 27th of April. Considering the quarantine, I wasn't even expecting for my orders to push through. So now I'm going to show you the 2 items that I got from the sale.
I've always been a fan of the Peripera Inks, and this shade is something that has been in my wish list for a while so when I saw it on sale, I instantly added it to my cart. Its part of the Ink Airy Velvet series and its shade #07.
This blush was actually an impulse buy. I wasn't planning on getting any blush on as I still have my Apieu blush, plus an unopened 4U2 blush on. But the sale price was so enticing I ended up adding this to my cart as well. No regrets though as the blush is so pretty!
Here are more photos of the items, but I will be posting a separate review for each item as soon as I get the chance to test them out. Its a bummer that I can't go to work now due to Corona Virus, so I can't use them yet. But hopefully things will be better soon so we can all go back to what we were doing prior to the quarantine - with extra extra care and precaution of course!
Huge thank you to Lazada and Club Clio for this sale. I hope they'll have another one soon so I can buy the eye-shadow palette, and a couple other Peripera Tints that I have been eyeing for a while :)

REVIEW: Nature Republic Cranberry Peeling Gel
Hi everyone. Today I will be posting about a peeling gel product. This is from the Korean brand Nature Republic, and its called Cranberry Real Nature Peeling Gel. I got this from a Nature Republic store somewhere near Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul, Korea summer of 2018. Forgive me as I can't remember the price, but trust me when I say that kbeauty items are really cheaper in South Korea than when purchased elsewhere.
This isn't my first peeling gel product, but I wasn't originally planning to buy this. My cousin who was with me said she loved this product, together with another Nature Republic item. Since it was so affordable, I bought one for myself too. I think there are a lot of variations for the peeling gel, but I chose the cranberry one since this is what she suggested as well.
Details about the product are written on the back, albeit in Korean so I can't really understand, but this is very easy to use so it didn't bother me.
It has a tube packaging, which can be a good thing specially when travelling as its handy and easy to use. I also haven't experienced any spilling incident with this despite the packaging.
Unlike the previous peeling gel that I had, this one is pretty different in the sense that the product is almost white. Actually its very white that I can't even see the tiny beads. I think there's supposed to be beads of some sort in the product, but it isn't so obvious on this one. For me that's a good thing cos that means the product isn't harsh on the skin.
When you apply it to your skin, it slowly becomes liquid-ish, so you just have to continue rubbing and massaging it to your face. I usually do the circular massage style, but you can do whatever you want, however you like it.
Now you can see some sort of "dirt" or "dead skin" piling up, after continuously rubbing and massaging the product to the skin. This has been a subject of debate among beauty bloggers as this was said to be the dead skin cells that were removed from your skin, however others claim that its just the product itself that has dried up, thus forming clumps of white stuff.
As for me, regardless of what this one is, I am happy with the product. After a couple of minutes of massage, I wash my face and the skin would feel soft afterwards. I haven't seen any significant change yet, but overall I am loving the after effect of this product.
Would I repurchase? Probably yes, if its on sale. I am open to try out other brands though. But for now I'll wait till I finish this one big bottle before buying another one.

REVIEW: Pretty Secret Lip and Cheek Tint
Hi guys! Today's post is dedicated to one of my favorite make up product - Lip and Cheek Tint! This item is from a local brand called Pretty Secret, and they have a lot of affordable make up and beauty products.
For today we will talk about the Pretty Secret Lip and Cheek Tint. As far as I know, there's only one shade which is such a downer but hopefully they will produce more shades soon. I've had this since last year but only got around to blogging about it now because I have nothing else to do. As you can see, the bottle is half empty already, that's how much I love this product. And I barely hit the pan or even finish any of the items that I use lol.
The packaging is very handy and sleek. It's very simple, yet it serves its purpose. I carry this with me in my bag and I haven't had any leakage, which is a plus. The applicator is your standard applicator.
This has a watery consistency by the way, but I swear it lasts for hours. I have oily skin but the stain remains all throughout the day. I do some retouch every now and then, but so far, I am loving this because of its staying power.
This is how it looks like when applied straight from the bottle and when blended using my fingers. Its watery so you have to be careful. Also, if you plan to spread this on your cheeks, you have to be fast as it has a tendency to stain immediately.
I tried to wash it with water, rubbed a few times but you can still see the stain. I even got stains on my fingertips because of this haha.
After patting and removing the water, this is how it looks like. It's not as reddish as the initial application, instead you're left with a pretty pinkish stain.
For reference, this is my bare cheeks. Excuse the face, I don't have the time to groom myself even though I don't have anything to do while on community quarantine. Talk about being lazy 24/7.
I was following the Koreans when they apply cheek tint in dots, but this turned out to be a disaster. Remember when I said you have to be quick with the application and blending since it stains immediately? Yep. I had pink circle spots on my cheeks because of this dot application lol.
So I was trying to blend the product, hiding the 3 pink circle spots haha. Now this is what it looked like after the blending. You can layer the product if you want, or just keep it subtle, enough to show a somewhat fresh glow on your cheeks.
I forgot how much this costs, but I think it was around P99.00 pesos. I could be wrong about the exact price, but this one's definitely cheap. I only use this on my cheeks by the way so I cant show how it looks like when applied on the lips, but I'll try tomorrow and update this post to see how it goes.
