[CLOSED] BH Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Matte Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

This giveaway is now CLOSED. Thank you :)
Sponsored by Tomoson.com

After finishing up some photos I am now finally ready to blog about the 88 Color Tropical Matte from BH Cosmetics. I have to say though that this post is picture heavy. And to compensate for the massive photos I uploaded, please read through the end because I have an awesome giveaway ready for you guys :)

Me and my 88 Color Tropical Matte Palette ^_^

Err fingerprints :|
Product Description
Even sassy urban princesses go on tropical retreats: warm up your eyes with year-round, summer-toned beauty. Breezy blues and sea glass greens dance with peony pinks and lilting lilacs. Sand dune taupes and ocean-splashed grays are as coolly lovely as a late summer sunset.

Packaging

The palette comes in a black packaging which is very classy and elegant for me. I can even see my reflection because of the glossy surface. Inside, there's a big mirror for you too look at while applying make-up, two eyeshadow applicators and of course, the eye-shadows.

Mirror mirror on my palette :P

Up close, you can really see the beauty of the colors. I had fun looking at them because they are all pretty.

Of course I swatched all 88 colors on my hand. I had a hard time with some of the shades because they just won't show up even though I swatched it many times. I guess they have to be build up heavily or something. But still, it doesn't affect the overall beauty of the entire palette.

Here are the swatches I made from all 88 colors. Enjoy~

My Review

BH Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Matte is a very wonderful product! It contains a lot of colors that are perfect for everyday use. With 88 shades, you don't have to worry about running out of ideas to create for your eyes because there are just a lot of combinations and great creations that you can do with this palette.

As you have seen in the above swatches, some shades might take a longer time to show while the rest are just so pigmented and gorgeous. My favorite shades are the pastel purples, pink, yellows and greens. I also adore the very rich and thick shade of the black eyeshadow. There are also a lot of neutral shades in this palette, which I reckon would be perfect for nude make-up or neutral looks.

Overall, I am very glad to have this in my stash. I have heard good things about the other palettes from BH Cosmetics and this one is just so perfect. I couldn't think of any other eyeshadow palette that is just as wonderful as this one is.

Stylish Me; Your Unlimited Wardrobe

It was sometime in October when I received an email from the lovely people of Stylish Me. They asked me to take a look at their site and help them in spreading the words about their cause. Of course I said yes because after reading and looking at their site, I knew I had to be a part of such a wonderful thing. If you haven't heard of them yet, allow me to introduce them to you guys.

Screenshot of their Home Page; Super chic~

Stylish Me lets you borrow clothes from the brands you love. It makes it affordable to wear designer clothes as well as to have the wardrobe you always dreamed of. Stylish Me will give you access to one of the largest collections of clothing in the world. So you can stay in fashion while spending your money on more important things.
What I actually love about their plan was that we get to borrow/rent clothes from their wardrobe. While this could sound weird or something for other people, but for us girls who really cant afford the luxury of owning expensive, branded and stylish clothing, this is something that we have been waiting for. For a minimum amount of money, we get to dress ourselves in clothing we could only wish and dream for. I think its really a good idea, rather than buying an expensive piece of clothing and then wear it only once or twice. That would be a whole lot of money wasted.

As much as we wanted this to be a reality soon, Stylish Me still needs a lot of things to do. That is why they are asking us to help and donate to them any amount or help that we can extend to them so that they can fully operate. They have a targeted launching date sometime in 2012. For more information and details about this project, please check out Stylish Me. You can also find them on Facebook  and Twitter.

I really do hope that this pushes through so please lets all support Stylish Me.

My Review:

 With Flash

Without Flash

My eyes are naturally brown, so I wasn't expecting anything spectacular except for getting huge doll like eyes because its 15mm. But then I was wrong. The lighter brown color in the central part of the lens was very visible, in contrast with the darker brown outer ring. The design is still visible from afar, but not as clear as when viewed in a close up position.

I really liked the design, it reminds me of the sunrise because of the pattern. Maybe that's why its called Morning Glory? Comfort-wise, I had no problem with the lenses. I can wear them for 3-4 hours with no problem.

I am also happy with the enlargement of my eyes, which people mistook for something doll-like. Here's a photo of me with and without lenses on my eyes. You can compare and really see the huge difference made by the 15mm lenses.

Overall, I am very happy about how this lenses turned out to be. It looks pretty natural against my already brown eyes and I can wear it everyday. Its perfect for a natural look, and is one of the most natural looking lenses.

My Rating:

If you want a natural looking lens that suits any occasion, then I would highly recommend getting the GEO Morning Glory Brown Lenses. You can purchase them online at Circle Lens for only $19.99. I'm sure you will love shopping at their site because they have the best customer service ever!

And now to end this post with selcas ;) I added photo effects to the photos via mobile photo editor.

Dolly look~ Thanks to 15mm lenses ^_^

And thats it. Please stay tuned for the other 2 reviews which will be up soon. Have a nice week ahead ;)

These Roses Died Three Days Since...

I was looking at my black nails today and find them beautiful but too plain, so I decided to do some nail art. My inspiration for this was the song Seven Roses by Chicosci. Although its supposed to be black roses, but since I only have red and yellow flowers so I just chose red. I think it still suits the song because of the black background :)

The design is just simple and common, flowers and rhinestones. Its chic in my opinion but at the same time cool or Gothic or blah, which is my style.
